Freeman vs. Bradford

Postby IronSkull » Sun May 29, 2011 10:40 am

Who do you guys think has a higher ceiling/long term top ten potential? Personally i think its Freeman due to his supporting cast and what he showed last year, but its pretty close given that Bradford has pass happy Mcdumbass as his O-cordinator and that Bradford's supporting cast will only get better.

Me too. Freeman can be good, but Bradford could be elite.

So you guys would jump all over him for a 2012 and 2013 first, even given my team needs?

Team in your sig?

I wouldn't jump all over two firsts for him without a lot more info. You already have servicable Eli/Flacco and I would direct you to attempt to upgrade the RB position before worrying about the QB. Of course I'm assuming your scoring system isn't QB heavy, so scoring is a big part of your question. The answers were Bradford v Freeman... not Bradford v 2 future firsts. The QB's can be comparred without scoring because both are in the same scoring system, so that's even and not a factor.

This is not a given. I was somewhat disappointed in the Ram's draft this year. Instead of aggressively pursuing an elite WR prospect they chose to nickel and dime. Last year they worked to acquire their WRs through UFA and late draft picks. There are several threads on who is going to be the WRs for the Rams. I don't know their payroll and maybe they are going to go after a big name once FA opens up but right now they have not assembled an elite group of WRs for Bradford but rather a group of undercards to the main bout.

Freeman, on the other hand, has an arsenal of high powered skill players at his disposal. That might very well carry him into the land of a top 5 QB.

If the Rams will roster skill players like the Packers have for Rodgers, then yes Bradford will be a top 5 QB. If not, then there is more to the game than a sharp general leading the plays.

"Freeman, on the other hand, has an arsenal of high powered skill players at his disposal." Besides Williams & Hillis, who fills out this arsenal?

Benn was getting his feet solidly on the ground when he got injured. Blount will continue to amaze and Winslow has always been a nice TE when he isn't injured.

Personally I'd take a healthy Benn and healthy Winslow. Along with Williams and Blount over what the Rams have on the field with maybe an exception as to Stephen Jackson but his legs are starting to show some aging and who does the Rams have behind him.
