I can't look right now, but if I recall there are actually studies showing that the players most likely to play the longest are the ones that get a ton of work and rarely ever come off the field.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 8:28 am Henderson shouldn't be what specifically scare you. What should scare you is that the Rams have pretty much gone all out to conceal the details of his knee injury. Their actions confirm it, as they kept Malcolm Brown and moved up to draft an RB with a 3rd.
Gurley is still an RB1 until proven otherwise, but the Rams seem to:
1. Have plans to dial back his volume.
2. Want to have a capable RB group behind him in case he needs rest days.
To me, this is the issue with being a workhorse. Everyone wants that 1 RB in dynasty who never comes off the field, but ultimately those players increase wear/tear and inevitably backups are drafted behind them to cut into volume.
I mean, I doubt their game plan was to score 3 points in the Super Bowl. His knee wasn’t right. It has absolutely nothing to do with him getting schemed out.ericanadian wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 4:33 pm Do we believe the knee is the issue? I mean, for me, that knee would have to be unplayable to be slapping CJ Anderson into the biggest games of the year and Gurley didn’t seem anywhere near unplayable. It seemed like the coaching staff felt that Anderson was a better fit for the gameplan. I have no idea why, but it was Belichickian and I think there should be some real concern that the Rams will inexplicably sit Gurley because they feel another guy better fits the gameplan.
What news? There is zero news about him. Literally nothing new is being reported. A guys opinion on the situation. That's it. One guy makes an opinion on the situation, which is not new, and it gets passed around and around. That's how they keep an idea that is not new seeming new when nothing is going on.Phaded wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 7:18 pm Still not worried, Gurley owners?..
I already had Henderson as my RB2 in pre-draft; I was not as put off by his landing spot as others.
The fact the Rams traded up a decent amount to go get him for what was not a perceived need raised an eyebrow for me - so the Gurley news is not surprising.
Glazer also was the first to report OBJ was being traded when everyone refuted that. Also TMZ has Gurley walking with a hobble.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 7:59 pmWhat news? He's not reporting anything, though. He's giving an opinion on the subject. OBJ getting traded away doesn't mean that he is right about everything, either. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. He's not been consistently ahead on things that happen, he got that one right. Could have just been a guess, too. I have Gurley in 1 league, and got him cheap, but it drives me nuts with people act like something that is old is new. Nothing is new here. He's saying there is concern about Gurley's knee. Not new. This is literally just his opinion on the subject.joeya2001 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 8:02 pmGlazer also was the first to report OBJ was being traded when everyone refuted that.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 7:59 pmWhat news?
