Darnold worth in SF

I'm in a 14 team superflex and this upcoming year is going to my second in the league. I hadn't done SF before this league so still trying to figure out where I evaluate the QB talent pool.

I'm trying to figure out what Darnold's value should be relative to rookie picks. I have an offer on the table for 1.04 for him and in comparison I took him last year at 1.08 so that is already some profit on his value.

If I did that, I would be able to nab one of these four: Metcalf, Haskins, Murray, Harry.

What do you guys think?

Darnold is worth the 1.01 plus in this draft easily. At least could get 1.01 and a high second/early first for him

When you compare Darnold to the rookies you mentioned, I think Darnold is ahead of all of them. 1.1 and a 2nd seems fair. I'm not sure I would be moving him for that though. He's a year in and flashed nice potential last year with very few weapons. Lots of question marks with the rookies.

I am going to pile on here with the thinking he is worth more than 1.04. Though this could depend on league scoring and starter requirements for me.

Your logic is faulty. It assumes he hasn't gained value since last year. It also assumes that each pick in every draft carries the same respective value. Neither of those things are true in my opinion. I'd rather Darnold than anyone from this draft in a superflex.

I would rather have Darnold. Since it is 14 teams I assume the QBs are very very sparce. There is not guarantee you get a QB at 1.04 so if you trade Darnold and miss out on one you are hurting even more at QB. Keep Darnold.

Plus looking at your signature, you only have 2 QBs. Definitely do not trade him.

This post is spot on. Starting QBs in a 14 team SF are gold, and young ones are worth even more. Every year that Darnold starts is a year that you don't have to spend a high draft pick on a QB that may or may not hit. That's pure gold my man.

Prior to NFL draft would not trade darnold for any single pick. After draft if Murray and/or Haskins lands in a good spot I'd think a bit about trading for the 1.01 or 1.02 + something, however I have more faith in darnold than Murray or hashkins

QB’s are gold in a SF league. They are worth even more in a 14 team league. I would want more than an early 1st.

Last year's class had better 1st round talent imo, especially at QB and RB, so I don't think you can look at it as a profit from one draft to the next, especially it only being 4 spots, plus I took him at the 1.05 last year in my Superflex league and thought I got a steal, as he was ranked as my 1.03. That being said, I would definitely need more than the 1.01 to move Darnold, but I'm also very hesitant on Murray.
