Bell for Landry++

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Bell for Landry++

Postby Hambone72 » Mon Oct 29, 2018 9:05 am

So I'm trading Bell. Given Connors performance and Bells uncertainty and my chance to win now, I decided to trade him

Bell and a late 2019 2 for Landry, Tevin Coleman, and Jared Cook.

I think it's fair value. Especially since Coleman will most likely spike in value as a free agent signee somewhere else and Landry gets the huge bulk of targets in Cleveland.

Dumb move on my part? Also, the 2019 draft class is uninspiring to say the least.

Team 2 in my sig. I'm 5-2 with the most points scored even without Bell. Full PPR.

I don't think this is a good move on your part. Either Trade Bell for a true elite WR like Adams/Evans/MT/OBJ/Nuk/AB/Thielen or just wait this season out. His value will sky rocket when he signs with a new team next year. PLENTY of good teams are going to offer him 15+ mill a year.

I don't like the value either and you definitely shouldn't be adding a 2nd to the Bell side.

It's already done, but Bell has been irritating me. I also think James Connor tearing it up makes his value less. I can live with it. Probably not the best deal but I acquired Bell for Crowell and a 1st and 3rd. It's a profit for me. I wasnt getting offered this much. I wanted Dalvin Cook, but is he honestly better than Coleman at this point? Good rookie year, severe ACL injury, plodding performance once he returned.

This could bite me in the bleep, but I also have a player to actually play in my line up (Coleman) and another WR1/WR2 in Landry behind Allen, and a really really good back up TE behind Ertz. I'm not worried about a late 2nd in an offense deprived draft. I still have my 1st and 3rd.

Thanks for the input guys. It doesnt fall on blind eyes, for sure. I can see this being a bad deal and I probably took certainty over upside.

I like the trade for you, to much uncertainty with Bell, id rather let that be someone else's problem (This is coming from a Josh Gordon owner).

Was Bell really that good, or was it the system/line?

You see what Connor is doing currently, Putting up better numbers than Bell did.

If he's on a different team next season well see if he can excel in another system.

He could go to another crap show like what's going on in Arizona lol

I also expect Coleman to sign with the 49ers, Jets or Seahawks. Could go back to Atlanta if they make him the feature back over Freeman who hasnt been healthy in a while.

I suppose this is all that matters...I also think it was a bad deal, but the best part of dynasty is that we routinely see trades that look bad today on one side looking very different in two years...
