Roddy or Megatron

Postby ekassor » Tue Mar 15, 2011 7:11 pm

In a 12 team two keeper Standard League (no PPR) which would you keep? My other keeper is Foster.

I don't think there's a wrong answer to this one, however, I'll give it a go anyway.

I would go with Megatron as I think you'll have a top 3 WR on your team for the next 5 years. Kinda the AP scenario: He may not be #1 any particular year but he'll definitely be close. AND the next guy to draft him won't let him go.
10 Team Keeper Non-PPR, TD(6pts), 100/300 Yrd Bonus, Big Play TD Bonus
Cut rosters down to 7 positional players prior to draft
Keep no more than 3 at any one position

QB(1) - M. Vick, K. Kolb, M. Cassel
RB(2/3) - A. Peterson, R. Mathews, J. Stew, F. Gore, M. Lynch, B. Scott
WR (3/4)- V. Jackson, D. Bryant, B. Marshall, M. Colston, M. Crabtree, D. Branch, 85, DT
K (1)- Hartley, Bryant
DST(1) - Dallas

I would take Megaton all day. There isn't another WR in the league I would trade Calvin for. He is young, physically dominant and performs even with sub-par backup caliber Qb's. The sky is the limit with him and his career is still ascending with an improving, young team and perhaps a decent run game if Best can provide any semblance of a threat on the ground.
Team 1: 10 Team, 4 Keeper League, Non-PPR
QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt
WR: Julio Jones, Dez Bryant
TE: Rob Gronkowski

If you don't have any parameters (number of years you can keep a player), keep Calvin. If you are limited to a season or two, keep Roddy.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

No parameters, just keep 2. The league's entering its 3rd season and Roddy was a big part of getting to the Championship game in 2010 (which I lost in a close game) so its hard to release him, but yeah, I'm leaning toward Calvin. If it were PPR I'd be sorely tempted to keep Roddy, he gets sooo many targets.

Thanks guys.

Calvin for sure. Roddy is close and you can't go wrong with either. I just think that Calvin has a higher ceiling.

I should actually package Roddy and Foster to the AD owner, but I'm the commish in the league and we've never opened up trading before the keeper date so that would be cheesy, lol.
