Week IV Discussion thread

Postby ArrylT » Mon Sep 24, 2018 3:57 pm

I know Week III is not over yet (MNF tonight!!) - I just wanted to remind everyone that BYE weeks begin this week.

Week IV teams on bye are

Carolina Panthers
Washington Redskins

So keep that in mind when thinking about lineups, waivers & trades. :)

It's a double header week in my 32-team. Shitty week to have Alex Smith.

Matchups this week that really intrigue me

Minnesota vs. LA Rams

How will the Vikings rebound? Are they going to be 1-2-1 and potentially with a worse record than the Browns?

Miami vs. NE Patriots

Can the Dolphins actually put a stranglehold on the AFC East and be the first team since before most of you started playing Dynasty to win the AFC East other than the Patriots?

Tampa Bay vs. Chicago

One of these or both of these teams could be turned into pretenders but one will be 3-1 and likely atop their division

---

On a player perspective

Will Brady rebound?
Will any player in the Minnesota/LA matchup be worth starting?
Will the Bears D make the high flying Buccaneers offence ordinary? Is it Winston or Fitzpatrick? Indications suggest Fitzpatrick and so far Winston is coming across as a team player ...

Also Phaded (and other fellow Raiders fans) do you think Janokowski (or Tavecchio) put a curse on the Raiders - we are already on our 3rd kicker this year and both Pineiro and Nugent had to go on IR.

Interested in Miami / NE game.

Not sure how many realize Tannehill is 10-1 in his last 11 starts. He is underrated IMO although I expect Brady to get the W at home. Miami gives the Pat's fits. They usually split this series.

Also interested in the Detroit/Dallas game. Looks like a must win to keep any hope alive got both teams. Think Dallas wins this low scoring game.

A (mostly non fantasy) question for fellow Packers fans heading into Week 4 -- are y'all still optimistic about the receiving corps? I was bullish on them to begin the season, and am still worried. Not sure Adams will ever be a true #1 guy, Cobb seems totally spent at times, and Graham has often looked slow. Allison's improvements have been a bright spot.

12-team SF, PPR, TE premium, 0.25 PPCarry
1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1SF 4Flex
QB: Mahomes, Fields, Love
RB: Bijan, ETN, Pollard, Achane, Herbert
WR: Kupp, Hill, Metcalf, Ridley, Jeudy, D.J. M, Burks, Hollywood, Wan'Dale
TE: Kyle Pitts, Goedert

Gruden is doing plenty to dismantle the Raiders without any supernatural influences lol.

Green Bays receivers have never been that good...its all about the guy who is throwing them the ball. As long as Rodgers is in there...the receivers will end up looking a lot better than they really are.

This is the week the overrated Dolphins and Tannehill come crashing back to earth. Pats are going to destroy these guys.

I mean, it has to go this way, right? Right?? Otherwise, the universe might explode.
