12 team full ppr. I have the 2nd pick in a dynasty startup and assuming Gurley is taken first, is Saquon at 2 crazy?

No because you aren't getting him in the second. Yes because obj, nuk, zeke are definitely better

In a startup, if you want a guy badly enough, you grab him when you can. I don’t think taking him there is that big of a reach either. There’s no way he makes it back for your 2nd pick.

I think most will say there are better players there. But, this is FF, take your guy and have no regrets.

No way. This is the definition of rookie hype. Gurley, Bell, Zeke, Nuk, OBJ, AB, Thomas and maybe even some other guys should all go before Saquon

Go with who you want, Barkley at 2 is fine. If could trade down a couple spots that would be better but then some risk someone feels the same as you do and grabs him before you.

I took Barkley at #1 - got to go get your guy. Yes he is a rookie but every top fantasy player was once a rookie as well. It's risky but if you believe in the talent, then go for it! The only thing that is certain in fantasy is that the end of season rankings almost always differ greatly from early season rankings. Even Gurley was considered a late 2nd round pick last pre-season.l

I want my first round pick to be a player I am 100% confident in elite production. Not only would I not take Barkley at 1.02, I wouldn't take him in the first round. I know that is where someone will take him. But I would walk away from the draft much happier with an established option than any rookie.

If there is any PPC then I am on board. If not OBJ or Nuk for me.

Bell, Zeke, ObJ are better options, but if he's your guy take him...

Predicting fantasy production is almost like predicting the weather. There are almost as many differing opinions as there are fantasy players. What may be talked about as a ludicrous pick today may be tomorrow's steal. As this is dynasty and you keep the players year in year out, I've always been a proponent of getting the guys you like and will enjoy watching. If Barkley is your guy, it is not crazy to take him at 2.

Go with your guy. I'd have no problem taking Saquon #1 overall personally.

Depends how risk averse you are. Either that pick will be one of your biggest regrets or it plays out like Zeke and you’re as happy as can be. You have to be willing to live with the regret part if it plays out that way. If that’s your guy, take him.

If he's your guy, he definitely won't be there for your 2nd pick. I would try to trade down to 5 if you can so you aren't taking over OBJ, Nuk and Zeke. He's my 1.05 in startups.
