Isaiah Crowell's Trade Value

Postby pmart33 » Fri Jun 29, 2018 6:48 am

Looking to shop Crowell in my half point PPR league. Looking for 2019 or 2020 picks.

What a reasonable return look like?

Don't expect too much. His situation didn't really get any better with the move to the Jets. Honestly, he's a hold for me right now in hopes that he produces a tad bit better than he did in Cleveland. But if you're dead set on selling, you can maybe get lucky and get a future first. I wouldn't bet on it though

Maybe you'd get a 2nd. You're better off holding and seeing what he does in NY before moving him right now.

I hear what others are saying about Crowell being a hold. But, you still might have reason or need to move him.

If you're desperate, then you might have to accept a late 2nd or an early 3rd in 2019. You'll have a better shot at a 2nd if you're willing to defer to 2020. Maybe a 2nd in 2020 and a 4th in 2019?

I think he’s worth around a mid 2nd, not necessarily that you can get that for him, but I kinda think he’s under-rated going into this season. I recently did this small deal for him in a league that I’m thin at RB. Maybe this doesn’t help but this was my deal.

I gave: 2.04, 2019 2nd
I received: Crowell, 2.09, 2019 3rd

I have a huge Jets fan in our league that I’m going to try and sell him off too. I was thinking of offer my Crow, 3.10 for his 2.2. I’d probably make it my 2.10 if there is someone at 2.2 available I really like.

He's a sure and safe bet for 1200+ yards and I'd expect a minimum of 8 TDs. His value in a trade won't net that kind of production. You're better off holding.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

idk how you can say that when hes only hit 1200 one time and he has only hit 8 td one time as well.

theres nothing sure or safe about that. safely gets you 800 and 4-5 tds, sure. sure thing to get 1200 and 8, pump the brakes a bit

I'm basing that on a combination of his skill set and situation with the Jets who have garbage at QB, garbage at WR, garbage at TE and no one other than Powell to compete with for touches.

Yeah...
This post is backwards.
Now is the time to BUY Crowell, not sell.
How many possible 25 year old backs with potential for a 1000yd / 7td season or better can you realistically get right now for a late 2nd or early 3rd?

These are the exact type of buy low investments that can really pay off. I would not sell now when his current value has him priced as if he already busted in NY.

You know, the Jets always seem to produce solid numbers for rushing totals not including catches from the RB position and totals

ill go the last 5 years

2017 1702 Powell 772
2016 1802 Forte 813
2015 1886 Ivory 1070
2014 2280 Ivory 821
2013 2158 Chris Ivory 883

So I think there is some value with Crowell with the Jets, id say hes a buy ATM giving the Jets rushing history. One could argue Crowell would be there best RB within the last 5 years.

I bought last year because I am a believe in his talent.

What's your rationale skip? I foresee a very messy RBBC. There's a chance that Rawls could split carries with Crowell. Even if Crowell wins the "starter" job and gets 70% of the team's total carries, how many games do you see the Jets leading or even staying competitive in? I'd project about the same number of touches/receptions for Powell and McGuire as I would touches for Crowell. I would be very, very surprised if Crowell reached 1,200 yards and/or 8 TDs this season.
