Alright guys, lambast me! Kamara/DJ trade.

So for the Mastodons in signature (a 12 team, non PPR league) you can see I’m stacked. It’s taken years of trading three 50 cent pieces for a dollar. Well, I have been trying to trade DJ this off season. It’s not that I don’t love him but he will be almost 27 by the time the season starts and the new offense makes me a little nervous. I’ve been trying to trade DJ and 1.4 for Zeke or Barkley...neither owner is interested. The next RB on my rankings (other than Gurley and Bell who I already have) is Kamara. I only have him on one other team and would love to own another share of him. I off handedly texted the Kamara owner and said “hey since DJ and 1.4 couldn’t get Barkley or Zeke I bet you wouldn’t take that for Kamara” to which he responded that of course he would (though playing it much more coy). So I guess my question is, how crazy is it to overpay for a guy you really want? Visions of Bell, Gurley and Kamara are dancing in my head!

PS if it makes a difference, I got 1.4 for Shady back in March so I got a really good deal on the pick imo

Well because you received good value before, you shouldn't let that weigh on your decision. I mean what if you kept DJ and grabbed Michel at 1.04 and he is this years Kamara?

I get the value in Kamara and excitement, I own him in a couple spots but DJ will produce just as much as Kamara

I feel Kamara and DJ are of similar value so I wouldn't add 1.04 to either side. Maybe a late first added if you really want to overpay.

I feel like the Barkley and Zeke owners were crazy, and that DJ > Kamara. I always worry about regression in players who had a great season on the back of near-historic efficiency, so I'm not buying Kamara at his peak price.

I wouldn't try to force a DJ trade if I were you.

I won’t lambast you but I would absolutely lambaste you for making that trade. I’m guessing you swallowed that missing “e” and are rolling pretty hard if you think that Kamara is worth DJ plus anything, let alone the 1.04. Reevaluate once you sober up.

That's a bad trade. Kamara has never shown lead back ability, so why trade a guy who destroyed the league for a year and half, before hurting his wrist, PLUS a either Chubb, Guice or Penny for Kamara. Awful trade if you do it. Truly awful. One of the worst offers I've seen. DJ's injury should not change the fact he is a more proven back despite age difference. Give your head a shake. Straight up at best, but DJ will get more touches. Buying guys like Kamara and JuJu right now, who don't profile as true number 1's at their position is ridiculous for the price. You are essentially paying a md first and late 2nd/early 3rd start up pick for Kamara and I'd argue anyone who takes him in the first in a start up is reaching.

It makes zero difference. We are talking about the here and now. Prefer DJ+1.04 very easily over Kamara, Zeke, or Barkley.

DJ, Gurley and Bell is mouth watering enough, plus you'll add a Rookie RB who *could* produce just as well as Kamara. Stand pat

As an owner of both... keep DJ for that. If you really want/need to trade him look to move him for something better

essentially you are selling low on DJ while buying high on Kamara - I'd think you will regret that

I'll just pile on here...your first offers for zeke and Barkley were terrible....Especially Barkley, DJ>=Barkley not a 1.04 difference, DJ>>Kamara so why would you add the 1.04 on top? It should be reversed and I love Kamara. Also this a non ppr so Kamara's value drastically declines, he loses 80 points immediately...
