Superflex startup 1.01?

Postby slaughterrt » Mon Mar 19, 2018 10:52 am

12 team superflex startup - .5 ppr

With the #1 overall pick I take...?

Do I reach for a QB here at the 1.01? I would normally go QB-QB first two rounds...but I don’t know if there is a QB I value at the 1.01. Maybe I take a WR? Ideally I would trade back a few spots but I don’t know if that happens.

I feel like all of the top QBs have knocks on them. AARon is getting older, Luck’s injury, Russell’s lack of weapons. What the hell do I do here? Never has the #1 overall in this type of league.

Anyway you can trade down? If you can't trade down, then you have to take the player with the most value. To me it would be Rodgers, Wentz, OBJ, or Gurley. Maybe Elliott would be in that group as well.

Don't go off of the 2QB rankings on DLF, I seriously question if any of those guys play in a 2QB league, cause by their rankings it really doesn't look like it.

I think with the 1.01 im taking one of the 3

OBJ
Zeke
Gurley

in that order, Mix of Youth and Elite status.

idk what you could get in terms of picks if you traded it. me ill take the for sure, I wouldn't want to miss out on a chance having one of those guys,

I’d probably go Rodgers, Hopkins, Zeke, Gurley or OBJ. I would probably go Rodgers but it’s close between him and Hopkins for me.

In a superflex, you definitely go qb. Rodgers, Wentz, Wilson. Your choice. But QBs go fast, and you won't pick again until 24, so you could already be out of the top 10 qb market

I asked one of the mods about those rankings and supposedly they all have experience in such leagues. My guess is they are also all bottom feeders as they clearly do not understand the value of QBs in SF and 2QB formats.

I absolutely go QB at 1.01 with my next pick being 20+ picks away.

Have to agree with going QB. OBJ is the only other guy I would consider

Agree with this. I would look to trade back if possible.

Yea, I don't know how they come up with those rankings, but the 1.01 should be between Rodgers or Wilson.

DLF guys know no more than us. Just saying

I'm going qb 1.01 in superflex, but definitely trying to trade down first

I'd be willing to take an underpay to move down. This offseason, the top tier for this league seems pretty flat to me.

Tough at the top for QBs this year but I don't know if I can imagine not getting your first QB until pick 24 in a SF league. I think you have to take one of Rodgers/Wilson/Wentz.

I guess to play devil's advocate, you could start with one of the other guys (OBJ/Hopkins/Gurley) and go QB/QB at picks 24/25. What kind of QBs would be left there this year?

I think your scoring is out of balance.

I would heavily lobby for a superflex league to be at least full PPR. At .5ppr, the point difference between QBs versus the other positions will be huge. It’s already big enough in full ppr.

But assuming it remains superflex and .5ppr, then yes I would go QB here.
