I currently hold the 1.01 and the 1.05 I am pretty good at RB especially after drafting Barkley, so I tried to move back and get an extra 2nd so I can take some fliers early on some of these WRs.

Couldn't get a deal done for any of the ARob, Theilen or Watkins owners they all wanted 1.05 and a lot more.
So instead, I traded 1.05 and Brate for 1.07 and 2.04 (10 team PPR) This gives me the option to possibly get James Washington, DJ Moore and Anthony Miller. I am really high on all 3 of these guys, DJ Moore is my most coveted WR prospect this year.

Was this a good trade?

Being that you have Njoku and Butt, losing Brate won't mean much. Who did you have targeted at the 2.3 that you already owned? Moving out of 1.5 might see you lose a shot at Ridley or Sutton depending on your league... but I see those guys weren't on your wants list...

I am not a big fan of Ridley or Sutton so I would rather draft Moore or Washington at 1.07 and gain an additional 2nd to draft Anthony Miller. With my 2.03 I am hoping I get lucky and a WR like Washington or Moore (whoever I don't draft) falls to that spot or grab a RB like Freeman or John Kelly depends on landing spot. Then use the 2.04 to get Anthony Miller. 3.03 would then be whatever TE/QB is left maybe Gesicki if people don't go crazy over his combine or Lamar Jackson/Mayfield.

Unfortunately in my league, the draft day trades are hard to do, nobody really trades draft picks while OTC I think people get caught up in their positions and have guys in their mind at those spots. I tried to trade 2 times last year and everyone was firmly staying in their spots. So when I had an opportunity to move down and get another 2nd while staying in position to get Washington or Moore (my top 2 WR's) I couldn't pass it up. I am hoping Ridley and Sutton or all RB's get taken and that may even push one of Moore or Washington to me at 2.03 (unlikely, but possible)

You might get better value flipping 1.07 and 2.04 for established wrs while hoping one of your wr targets is still available. I’d look to try and stud up your wr position. You have 3 great rbs to build around and a lot of potential at wr which could make this a quick turn around

On board with this rationale. Could've maybe just traded Brate for that 2nd, unless the other owner was coming to you and looking to move up, then it still looks like you're heading where you want to go. Best of luck in the draft.
