Mark Andrews value

Postby jwb32 » Mon Apr 05, 2021 6:19 am

What would you pay in picks for Mark Andrews if you needed help at TE for a competitive team (not in sig). Not TEP. I have Logan Thomas, Jared Cook, and Gerald Everett. Is he even an upgrade at this point?

Andrews is a solid TE, but is up and down due to Jacksons inconsistencies through the air. I think a front end late 1st is fair value, but not sure I would pay it.

Personally I don’t see a scenario I’m paying for him because I think he’s a bit overrated and not in that top tier I’d be willing to pay for. If it’s not one of the elites, I’d rather get a couple of the next 15 Tes that are all within 3ppg of a each other and pay way less.

I'm only paying for Kittle, Kelce, or Waller. Not intersted in Andrews especially since you have Thomas, Cook, and Everett. Pretty sure between the 3 you can outscore Andrews.

I don’t view Andrews as elite, or having the situation to become elite, so I wouldn’t be looking to pay anything substantial for him with the guys you have.

I agree with the previous posts, but would add that the big three TEs are going to probably cost more than they're worth paying for.

This is likely the case but I think it may be league specific and at least worth exploring if you want an elite TE. A couple of my leagues devalue TEs so much that they won’t even pay for the elite TEs, while others those guys aren’t even available to trade for.

Andrews is the kind of TE I love to draft if they fall to my price point, but I never want to trade for because he's more of a dime-a-dozen TE than a true difference maker.

As someone else said earlier, there are only three difference-making TEs in fantasy. MA isn't one of them.

I'd be more than happy to roll with Logan Thomas rather than give up a late 1st or early 2nd for MA.

This is an interesting thread because I'm a Mark Andrews owner and have been kicking around trading him. I'd love to see a late 1st/early 2nd offer. I may float him and see if your projections are close to what I am offered. *crosses fingers*

Don't see many threads for this guy, but after a quiet start to 2021, he seems like he's finding his groove. As a Colts fan, he crushed me last night. As a fantasy owner, I'm pretty excited.

2018 TE17 - 6.7ppg
2019 TE5 - 13.81ppg
2020 TE6 - 12.15ppg
2021 TE2 - 17.0ppg

While he doesn't give the positional advantage of a Kelce or Waller, he's so darn consistent in a position that is incredibly difficult to get points. One of the few true set and forget TEs.

Obviously last night was a career night for him and the offense relied heavily on he and Brown in the comeback, but do the Ravens get back to focusing on Andrews? Does he take the leap into the elite tier for real?

I've owned him and started him for probably 2 years now as a set and forget type TE. I've never been able to trade him with another piece to upgrade at TE and I'm fine with it as I think he's been in the TE4-6 range for a long time

He has frustrating games due to the run first offense, but what TE doesnt? However, it seems like teams are daring Lamar to throw now and they have tried to take away Andrews. However, this offense seems like it's coming together now that Brown is getting open at will and the other WR are contributing more than before (Watkins, Duvernay). This is leaving Andrews to work the middle which Lamar prefers. I'm interested to see once Bateman is going what that does to the rest of the offense

I had him ranked 4th in a money redraft this year and took Hockenson 4th. Pitts went 3rd. Think I made a big mistake there. At least I own M. Brown in that league.

He looks outstanding and should enter the conversation with Kelce, Waller, and Pitts as the top tier TE group the next few years.

He sure makes the game look easy.

I like Andrews but I need to see more from both him and Lamar. Not too much more, but more. I mean that Colts pass defense/rush was freaking terrible, utter trash. It would have made all sorts of QBs look like stars.

Andrews is just legit very good. He had terrible luck(bad throws from Lamar) so many times last season in the end zone just out of his reach, and a few times in the first games of this season. But Lamar is looking better and better and more accurate and that’s just what Andrews needs to succeed. He either needs 13 targets, or accuracy from Lamar on lower volume to continue to be a top 4-5 TE. If he gets both like on Monday he is as elite as they come as a fantasy TE because of his talent.
