What do you guys think from what you've seen

My thoughts are that AA and Riddick really aren't working in Detroit... The fact that they are feeding him now is them feeling the waters.

Would you rate him a higher potential than Bibbs, McGuire, Mack?

I think I would rather own McGuire personally. I think him and Powell make a decent one-two punch next year. Assuming Powell is still there of course.

Gore can’t play forever...I don’t think...so Mack should get his chance. But that offense has just been horrendous and who know if/when Luck comes back and if/when it even makes a difference.

Don’t forget DET also has Zach Zenner and Dwayne Washington.

Yea, just been kicking the tires on a few flyers to roster before next season and have been impressed by Green the past couple weeks

Tion Green is definitely worth a stab. Detroit hasn't had a reliable run game in forever (since Joique Bell?), so with Green getting some consistent yards, he'll have a chance next year.

I probably wouldn't take him over Marlon Mack, but I would over Bibbs & McGuire.

To answer your question, I’d only take him over Bibbs.

Mack>>> McGuire=Green>>Bibbs

Green has shown something in the last couple of weeks.

Green has already shown more than Zenner and Washington did last season. Plus Zenner is a FA after this season.

I would tend to agree with you on Zenner. Washington, on my he other hand, has prototypical size and has shown some homerun ability.

I agree with this about McGuire. Forte is almost useless and likely gone. I expect him to get a good look next year.

Honestly - I would rather avoid the Lions backfield at this point.
I wouldn't be surprised if they draft a guy in the first four rounds this year.

I really doubt Detroit is going into the offseason prioritizing Tion Green as their lead back. He's probably worth a stash like every other JAG in a questionable backfield, but he didn't look like much when I saw him.

He has shown more of the one-cut, down-hill running ability than Zenner or Washington, and Abdullah and Riddick both like try to create. Not saying that he is going to be a future Jerome Bettis-stud, but Det seems to be looking for that kind of complimentary player while not prioritizing that in the off-season. If he can prove to be reliable enough in that capacity, then he has 1,000 yards, 8 TDs as a realistic upside play.

That being said, it's purely speculative. The good news is that, if Det commits to him in the off-season, then it should be pretty obvious, just as it was pretty clear that neither Zenner nor Washington would realistically be filling that role in 2017.

If Caldwell is gone then probably so is Neon Tion as a viable starter. Could hang on as thumper / goal line back but reminds me of a lesser Asiata who could block better for Vikings.

Hopefully we the Lions fans get to see a creative o-coordinator to use the talent on the roster to its potential. Should be a throw first , quick strike offense getting players in space and taking advantage of one-on-one matchup with occasional deep ball to Marvin, Golladay or Ebron. Riddick, Abdullah & Golden Taint are run after catch ,quick , break your ankles guys with rushing skills more useful in a spread offense.

Power run game to set up play action isn't working and the longer developing routes with 7 step drops are subjecting Stafford to too many sacks and hits. Maybe some of it is on Stafford for not dictating to the defense with pre-snap adjustments and getting stuck or frozen reading coverage while play is going on. If they go to that type base offense then I don't see much of a role for Tion other than a Legarette- lite one

Trade him now while some other owners are willing to stash him as well. Not to sound like a broken record but with all the RB talent set to enter the league this year iffy backfields everywhere risk getting a big shake up. I am only holding elite options or players who I deem as safe in the role (ie PPR backs).....every other RB I am shopping.
