Alternate Forum Style
Alternate Forum Style
For those of you looking for a forum experience which more closely resembles the old-school forum we used to have in place, here's the skinny.
That style is not available for the newer version of our forum (phpBB3). The guy who created that theme made it a long time ago for phpBB2, and decided not to port it to phpBB3. Instead, he released a different theme which closely resembles that old theme we used to use. So after much rooting around I found that theme and loaded it up. Complete with old-school dlf logo. It's not exactly the old forum, but it's as close as we can get.
You can engage that profile by going to User Control Panel, click the Board preferences tab, then change My Board style to Serenity.
Here's my disclaimer. I'm not going to be spending too much time tweaking that Style. Basically, it is what it is. A few more tweaks will be made in the next day or two, but that's about it. Also note that when/if you log out, you'll see the default forum again until you log in, as that style is applied specifically to your profile, and you have to be logged in for it to know who you are.
So... I hope that works. Let me know.

To follow up on the alternative style. Been using it for a couple days now and 10X better then then the new one in my opinion.
Any old schoolers out there should give it a spin.

Re: Alternate Forum Style
I just took a look at the old style and there is no way I can switch back to that. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked these new boards, but now I realize how much easier they seem for me to navigate. Make this another vote for the new look.
