Coleman for McCaffrey

Postby epritchard15 » Wed Sep 06, 2017 5:00 pm

Team in my league wants C. Coleman. Offered me Edleman and C. Thompson which i quickly rejected. Was thinking of countering with coleman for McCaffrey. Is this enough and if not what do you think i should add to get it done. Team in signature and i need some RB help.

Definitely not enough, although you can try. I would start off adding a 2018 second and go from there. Maybe add JMatt.

Yeah I'm famous for offering two WR's with upside/buzz for a player I like/want .. I'd have no problems sending Corey Coleman and JMatt for McCaffrey ..

I would note that Corey Coleman really made some nice plays with Kizer, those two may be a thing this year .. I'd still want McCaffrey though, he's one of my favorites this year ..

Mccaffery side is the clear best side to own. Corey Coleman may have upside, but McCaffery is in a whole tier above, doubly so in PPR formats.

Non-PPR...you are just swapping one overrated asset for another...I might even favor Coleman here because of the format. Ugh...

Doesn't apply here...and what makes McCaffery a whole tier above? Just curious...

Yea, you're not getting CMC straight up for Coleman. Your probably have to add something with at least a late 1st value.

Obviously subjective, but CMC had higher draft capital in a stronger draft class than Coleman. This doesn't necessarily equal better production, but it is evidence toward his high (real and fantasy) value. I believe his situation is stronger, being on the better team. Coleman has weaker QB play. He does have the opportunity to be the #1, which is in his favor. CMC has Newton vulturing TDs, which is a negative. Overall, his talent, draft capital and situation are more valuable compared to Coleman.

You also should acknowledge outside perception of CMC's value. While an individual does not value a player equally to another, awareness of a players "over-valued" potential trade capital allows them to gain more perceived value by unloading an unfavorably viewed asset for a favorable one. It's very clear that this community over-values CMC, which should allow this guy to get much more than Coleman in a potential trade.

Other factors are: Rookie Hype in favor of CMC, and a poor showing and lost 2016 season for Corey Coleman to his detriment.

Fair points...

I don't even like Coleman, but I do think the production of the two will be similar this year in non-PPR. I will be interested to see who scores more in non-PPR as I don't think CMC will get many carries and I have doubts about Cam's accuracy once he is getting smacked around per usual.

I definitely accept that CMC has more value now, I just don't think he should if that makes sense in this format.

Nowhere near enough for cmc.

Coleman at best was 1.3-1.5 last year and has easily dropped in value.

Cmc went 1.1-1.3 in most drafts this year - you'll need to add a significant asset to a WR4-5 to get CMC
T.1 - 12 team Superflex- 1xQB - 2xRB - 3xWR - 1xTE - 1xSFlex (13th year) ‘21&’22 champ

WR: Godwin, Olave, Deebo,DJM, Dell, MW, Doubs

RB: Saquon, Mixon, Rochon, Evans
WR: Pickens, QJ, Thielen, Arob, Juju, ODB, D. Parker, Osborn,

T.3 - 12 team Superflex- 1xQB - 2xRB - 3xWR - 1xTE - 1xSFlex - 1xWRT Flex (3rd year) ‘21&’22 champ
QB: Mahomes, Burrow, Winston, Darnald
RB: JT, Javonte,Sanders, JCook, Jamaal

You were offered a WR that's out for the year?

Considering that's what was offered and what you're looking to counter with, I can't see a deal happening. Other team is trying to buy Coleman low and doesn't seem serious about offering much. Don't see him giving up McCaffrey.

I do not see a path to a deal with this manager. Starting with an INJ WR in the offer does not show they are motivated to make a deal. I would reject and offer no counter.
