Team 1 in my sig.

Our draft is in 2 weeks. From my research on the first 4 picks, it appears as though I'll be picking between either C. McCaffery or C. Davis at #5. RB's are hard to come by in this league and I'm not sure I've got a team that can compete this year. I have been offered Dez and L. Miller for pick 5 plus some later picks.

Should I stay put and take whoever falls to me at 5 and stick with the rebuilding process, or make the trade to possibly compete for this year.

Any advice is appreciated.

Davis has gone 1 or 2 in all my leagues. Mccaffery might be there but you're likely going to picking between cook or Williams. I'd take dez and miller. You get a wr1 and a rb for the 1.05. I'd rather have dez or miller over cook so getting both feels really good

Dez and Miller and not close. This trade will fast track your team to being competitive.

You would think that, but only about half the league is active when it comes to trades/trading. The best offer I've received for Miller has been the 16th overall pick in return. Most folks in this league have the 'my players are worth so much more than they actually are' syndrome.

How others owners value players doesn't matter if you are able to make deals like this to steal top end talents off of other rosters. You should be willing to deal 1.05 for Dez OR Miller.

I'm confused. I thought you were thinking about acquiring Miller. How are you already receiving offers for him? If you're shopping a player around before you've actually acquired him, it's pretty obvious you're low on him and just trying to flip him for a quick profit. Not to mention some owners find it mildly shady to try to set up a deal in advance for a player you have yet to acquire, so don't be surprised if the offers you get for a player you don't even own are lowballs. They might also put two and two together and try to cut out the middleman by going straight to the Miller owner to work out their own deal. I would accept this offer ASAP before the Dez/Miller owner comes to his senses or another owner swoops in.

At first I thought it was Dez OR Miller until I started reading the other comments. Dez alone is probably worth at least the 1.05, so getting Miller on top is basically free.

I came to this thread based on the title planning on saying "Take Dalvin Cook and be happy about it"

But that is a damn good offer for the 1.5. I had the 1.5 in my league and if someone offered me that I wouldn't have hesitated or asked for a second opinion here

Dez is easily worth the 5th pick and then some. To be able to get Miller too is a slam dunk. Hopefully you were able to get it done before it got pulled.
