Report: UFL's Omaha Nighthawks sign Clarett
Profootballtalk.com is reporting that the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks have agreed to terms with former Broncos RB Maurice Clarett.
PFT is told that Clarett earned the roster spot by impressing in Sunday's tryout and that "name recognition" played no part in the signing. Clarett hasn't played in a football game since 2003 with Ohio State. He spent the majority of 2006-2009 in prison after being convicted of armed robbery. Here's hoping he takes advantage of the opportunity and turns his life around. Aug. 30 - 12:04 pm et
