Ogeltree and Philips stood out for the boys! They gave a lot of hype to Michael Johnson the beastly 2nd year 6'6 LB/DE who had a pair sacks, one with his hand in the dirt and another upright. Looks like they will dabble in some hybrid 3-4 with their personnel and depth!

And as my 31st round pick in the DLF V, I'm hoping MFL doesn't change his designation to LB. :P

Whats everyone's take on Buehler after this game. 3/4, with the one miss being from 49 yards. My concern is that the miss was ugly. Even a couple of the short range ones were a close call.

Let's hearken back a year ago when people were going all nutty over pre-season games and who was putting up numbers. Chris Henry was a hot commodity among suome owners who bothered to pay attention during this time of year and adjust their rankings accordingly.

The primary things you will get from the pre-season are who gets cut, signed elsewhere, and the change in some depth charts. But even then those depth chart changes are not going to be your premier players. Those are your borderline guys who may or may not get sufficient playing time to even be on a fantasy roster.

Secondarily, if you are hanging on in desperate hopes of those borderline guys amounting to something you use this time to sell them high when they have a great preseason game. When all is said and done, they are still buried on depth charts. Let someone else hold out hope while you build a stable roster.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

True Skip but this is a dynasty site. With many leagues rostering well over 300 players the pre season provides us with valuable information on these young players that may be on our starting rosters some day...

When you have 3rd and 4th string guys playing against 3rd and 4th string guys, I don't see how that information is valuable. People rag on players putting up stats in "garbage time"...that's exactly what preseason is.

I agree you have to take pre-season games with a grain of salt...but whats your thoughts on Buehler and his first preformance on an actual NFL stage as K?

Even the most experienced kickers miss field goals. Be patient.

The only reason I ask is b/c in my 16 team league, there are not K's on the WW. I currently roster Folk, Buehler and Lindell. I am going to have to drop one of them. I'd like to drop Lindell, but that makes me dependent on Buehler finding success in his new role
