Josh Gordon Reinstatement

Hey gang,

I have not heard a peep about Gordon being reinstated. Have I missed any news on it? If not, and there has been no news, I take that as bad news. If he had been clean for the last year since he went into rehab again, surely Goodell would have at least talked to him by now, generating a news report. Doesn't look good from where I stand. :(

I think it's a bad sign that at the time they were reinstating players like Daryl Washington who has been out for what 3 years? Gordon still couldn't be reinstated? It's a bit worrisome to say the least but time will tell.

The last "update" was word would come down about Gordon late April, early May. So, hopefully soon.

The reinstatement review process typically takes 60 days and we are only just now at the end of that window for Gordon. I would expect there to be an updated report within the next few days.

But no news is good news as the saying goes... right?

There has been no news on Trent Richardson lately... ...time to scoop him up!

For Josh Gordon that means he must be dead.

Could be, but last year when we all expected news and it didn't come, it turned out that there was a reason why. (he checked himself into rehab and took himself away from football). It is good that we haven't heard BAD news. I will grant you that...

Nothing bad going on with Gordon. Browns seem to know he's going to be reinstated. Smart move on his part last year to call it before something serious happened.

Doubt the league was dealing with anything non-draft related the last week or so.

Gordon's process started a couple weeks after Martavis so I'd expect mid-May though Goodell's recent weed comments sounded incredibly ignorant and could mean that Gordon still has a few more hurdles to get over.

I see what you did there...
I think it's important to note that context is vital to the relevancy of the saying.

Yeah I'm just joking around. Content is worth little without context.

I own him in a couple of leagues so I'm trying to remain positive like his urine samples. Lol

As said earlier i think it's more to do with timing of the petition for reinstatement. I believe Gordon petitioned for reinstatement a week or two after Martavis did. The NFL seems like they intentionally take their max time which is 60 days. I think the Browns might have been given an informal heads up by the league that Reinstatement was likely because the song coming from cleveland changed dramatically. First it was Josh Gordon is done here now the owner suddenly making it seem like hes part of the future. I think it's also noteworthy that the Browns didnt draft any WRs this year.

Note: I'm also biased... as seen in my avatar.
