Wildly optimistic.

2013 was a long damn time ago, bud. 2014 too, and Gordon in his five games that season was a far cry from a top 10 WR.

All of that is absolutely true. Even if we put aside the fact that he hasn't played since late 2014 and we indulge the Gordon truthers that thinks he can step back on the field 3 years later (and 4 years after his monster season) without missing a beat, people fail to see that the stars aligned for Gordon in '13. They're quick to point out that Gordon did it with 3-4 crap QBs, but they fail to realize that he was the only receiving threat on a team that played from behind all year, and in a system that was constantly willing to push the ball downfield. Even if he is reinstated, it's been an eternity in NFL terms since he's played, he'll be in a completely different offense, and if he's back in CLE he's going to have more competition for targets (especially if Pryor re-signs).

I may just be jaded to the situation, but there's only so many times I can hear people hype up a player that's played 5 games in the last 3 seasons and none in the past 2 seasons before the idea of even hearing or reading his name makes my stomach turn. LOL

sounds to me that dionysus is dying to pump up the value and unload gordon in a league with probable others on this board. he'll have to come back, get in football shape, get in sync with whoever is qb, learn a brand new offense but hes automatically a top 10 wr? how bout hoping he actually gets thru an entire season first shall we? hes very far from top 10. if you are counting on him as even close to your starting lineup imo you are a fool. hes a back of bench dart that you hope sticks

Opposite could be said that there are owners trying to burst bubbles to depress his value so they can swoop in and buy. :D

At this point if you have him, you hold and hope for the best (either he returns and balls out or someone believes and pays the price) or you just avoid completely and let him be someone else's problem. Not really any middle ground with these guys. Just restating the obvious.

Lets all go out and trade 1st rounders for this guy again this offseason, that plan has worked out well in the past.

You'd think so, but I think cult really believes what he says about Gordon.

At this point - I do not think there is even a need to burst bubbles or depress his value.

If you believe in him for some bizarre reason - you can buy him pretty cheap already and rightfully so.

The difference is, doubters of Gordon aren't merely speculating. We don't need to depress his value, Gordon handles that himself

Gordon's value is so far below what I'd sell him for, there's now I could move the needle just through a few posts. My valuation of him is heavily skewed by years of ownership. No way would I get rid of him now, for pennies, when he his last chance is this summer/fall.

Just excited to see how things pan out in the next few months.

More likely than not, Josh Gordon is the David Boston of our age.
