I see wth the new update ty Montgomery is listed as a rb.. how do you guys think this effects his value going forward? Do we think he'll be the main piece there?

I dont think he's the main guys going foward. And mccarthy barely throw to his RBs. He's a RB3 going foward IMO

I seem to think the kids got a shot. I agree I don't think he'll be a bell cow, but he could be a versatile in an offense led by Rodgers. I like the idea.

I like him as a RB3/flex type. He'll surely have competition, but I think he proved he's good for 8-10 carries and a however many catches he can handle.

If everyone stays healthy, he's probably good for 900 yards rush/rec on about 50-60 receptions. I fully expect his rushing usage to go down, but I could see that being offset by increased receiving usage. If someone (ie Cobb or the other RB) goes down for significant time, he could add a couple hundred yards to those totals. My biggest concern with him would be his ability to stay healthy with heavy or even moderate usage.

He's been discussed here in a couple threads already. Will have to go find them.

I still don't think Montgomery is a lead back or will get enough usage in the passing game to make him anything more than a spot start RB3, but I guess we'll see.

The reclassification to RB was expected by most. Some host sites changed his status during the season, the Packers acknowledged that he was a RB, and MFL released some sort of statement stating that they don't change player classifications in-season. That said, Montgomery now being officially listed as a RB on MFL helps his value a bit IMO. Obviously WR is much deeper than RB, so pretty much any player should be more valuable being listed as a RB than they would be as a WR, especially when you're talking about a player that would probably be a WR4-5 at best.

Keep in mind is final designation will come at the end of training camp. If the Packers draft a bell-cow or trade for someone he could be easily switched back to WR. Basically if it were me owning him I would not count on him as an RB until the season starts when he'll be "locked in" at his position.

I will go the other way here and say he will definitely be the most productive guy in Green Bay and the offense will be suited for his usage in the running and passing game. There are only a few RBs that show the same patience and ability to make guys miss. He has great size and is extremly smart. I do think GB drafts a running back but it will be late and unless they hit a home run there, it should be Lacy and Monty in the backfield. RB11 in 2017

Would love for this to come true, but I'm not holding my breath either.

I'm right there with you. As a Montgomery owner in multiple league, I really hope James McGhee's prediction is right and mine is dead wrong.
