Is Julius Thomas droppable?

Fellow JT owners know how frustrating he is to own, being oft-injured, aging, and completely TD dependent. We also know there's absolutely no buyers market for him, and there probably never will be for the rest of his career.

The available following TEs are available in my league:

Cameron Brate
Vance McDonald
Clive Walford
Austin Hooper
Tyler Higbee

Do I dare drop JT for any of the guys above? Or do I just let him take up space on my bench and hope to use him as a trade throw-in for the future?

I would feel perfectly comfortable with it especially since it looks like the Jag's are going to keep him. I'd drop him for Brate or Hooper and I'd throw Higbee in the mix if i didn't need immediate production.

Personally IDK how these guys are on wiavers.. all are owned in both of my leagues.. As Guerilla said.. I would grab Brate and/or Hooper for him

Piling on for Brate and Hooper. I also really like Walford, and I wouldn't shy away from Higbee if I had a taxi squad spot available.

I would easily drop him for McDonald & Hooper. The others, I would if I believed in those guys (especially if I was a Walford truther)

Piling on here. I prefer Brate as the best of those options with Hooper second. Not a fan of the others.

Yeah those guys should be owned. JT I'd hold onto for trade and name sake but get on Hooper and Brate ASAP.

I would say that, in general, JT isn't droppable at this point, but considering who is on waivers, that league must be pretty shallow.

I'd absolutely drop him for Hooper. I believe he's going to be a very good TE within the next couple of years. Brate would be a solid second choice if the Bucs don't draft another TE in this rich class. I'm kind of thinking they will be though, so I'm a little less excited about him.

With Hooper in Atlanta, I doubt they use any draft resources on another TE. The rest of the names on the list don't do a whole lot for me except for maybe Higbee. But as we all know there's a lot of work to be done by Higbee personally at honing his craft, and the team in general to even look like an NFL calibre offense.

I traded JT for a 3rd in 2018..... Im done with him, willing to take my lost in a year 3 league, so I have heavily investment in him, but time to cut my lost.

Not sure why McDonald isn't getting more love on here. As high of a ceiling as anyone on this list, good draft pedigree, and more production to this point than anyone except for Brate.
