Diggs or DT in standard dynasty?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Diggs or DT in standard dynasty?

Postby jimbonyc » Mon Oct 31, 2016 1:23 pm

Who do you guys like better in a dynasty situation? Stefon Diggs or Demaryius Thomas? A few weeks ago it looked like Diggs was ready to break out but since then he has slowed - possibly due to injury but he may be struggling with teams keying in on him now.

Give me DIggs. If you're team is in win-now mode, you could make an argument to hold onto DT.

In Dynasty, based on age alone I go Diggs all day.

I'd go with DT. I'm not as confident in Diggs as a long-term producer.

Gotta be DT. He's been doing it for years. Diggs has done it for games and has looked good. But other than 2 games this year he has been a nobody (stat wise).

Gotta go with DT until Diggs shows consistency. DT is a solid WR2 while Diggs is a boom or bust WR3/4

DT to the house. I don't trust Minny, they are building around defense, what goes with that? Run the crap out of the ball.

The two aren't in the same class of player for me. I'd much rather own DT.

DT for me too, but i'd happily move him for Diggs in a rebuild.

DT for sure, and I don't even understand how this is a question. This reminds me of the lockett hype, and look at him now.

Genuinely puzzled by people going for DT right now. If Diggs is healthy next year and the Vikings improve their o-line, I think he's going to be a star. He doesn't just get open when healthy, he gets Beckham or AB levels of separation, both on intermediate routes and when going deep.

I realize that everyone wants to bail on the DT ship right now for basically zero reason other than age. I didn't run the numbers to check but I believe over the last 3-4 seasons the only WR to (maybe?) produce more yards from scrimmage has been Antonio Brown. Not to mention having demonstrated he is about as "QB proof" as they come.

I'll add to that my lack of confidence in the Vikings front office to make good personnel decisions to believe they will resolve their offensive line issues in the near term.

I agree.

I've long been a DT fan but the drops, lack of focus and overall decline can't be ignored.

To me, Diggs arrow is pointing up while DT is pointing down. At this exact moment, it's close, probably DT but long term it's Diggs.

DT is only 28 and has a more than proven track record. Diggs hasn't proven to be anything more than a flex play. Also you can play the ifs game with a lot of players
48 team, 4 copy league, QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, SF, 4 flex

RB - Chubb, Hunt, Swift, Akers, Henderson, Mostert, Mack, Bowden, Hill
