In general.... the yearly overhyped young WRs who are zeros. Devante Parker, Kevin white, Michael Floyd, breshad perrimen.

Just because you were a first round pick doesn't mean your not a zero. And every year clowns put these guys as top 25-30 startup picks. It's absolute insanity. I want to know outside of dez and dt back in 2011.... someone give me an example since there (so 5 years now) of a high pick who was a turd as a rookie actually working out. Cause I can't think of one. And if you can, there are countless example of turds over guys who are actually good that it doesn't make sense to overvalue the crap out of these young WRs every offseason.

Somewhat recently, Rotoworld has been using "absorbed" a ton and I just hate it. "Alshon Jeffery absorbed just three-of-11 targets..." "Jarvis Landry absorbed all three of his targets for 28 yards." I've never watched a game and said "Oh man he just ABSORBED that pass!!!" It just sounds weird and wrong to me and I want them to stop immediately.

Brandon Marshall (1-year turd), Dez Bryant (1 year turd), Demaryius Thomas (2-year turd), Roddy White (2-year turd), Jordy Nelson (3-year turd). Possibly Allen Robinson depending on how the rest of his career turns out. I'm sure there is an even longer list but those are just the names off the top of my head.

Depends on what you would consider a "turd" but Nuk wasnt exactly a dominant fantasy producer as a rookie, one could argue Marquise Lee is making moves in that direction. Devante Adams has also flashed but he certainly hasnt become consistently good yet either. Kendall Wright started off weak and has had a fantasy relevant season since. That is really about all from this past 5 years but considering you can't really count 2015 in that, havent really even had a full 2nd year to break out, and once you take away first 2 round wrs who started off good, you are looking at a short list. If we are just talking about 1st round WRs we are talking about a list that if we don't count last year that list is Tavon, CPatt, AJ Jenkins, Michael Floyd, Jon Baldwin, and I suppose Blackmon though he had the best rookie season of any of these being discussed and his problems had less to do with on field play. Not exactly a huge sample size and a couple of those "failures" are still producing for their NFL teams.

Going back though, Michael Crabtree, Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson, Fitz wasnt exactly great as a rookie, there are a few.

Maybe they just watched the dodgeball episode of Southpark where Cartman absorbed several balls.

I don't read many articles, but words or phrases that I see on here that are annoying are:

"Blockbuster"

"The 2017 rookie class is full of studs"

"Injury prone"

" Too Boom or bust (for me)" - is usually just a lazy argument

"Bump" - when somebody starts a thread, doesn't help out anybody else with theirs and then bumps their own thread...just go away already with that lol

Blockbuster is a good one. There is no such thing as a blockbuster trade in fake football.

Honestly guys, 'fantasy writers' usually aren't any more objectively credible than, say, an amateur political blogger is on politics. I mean, there are exceptions, but for the most part there's a lot of amateur opinions out there that are just relying on your inclination to assume something published on an organized webpage = 'expert' credibility.

So yeah. Guys like this tend to overuse hyperbolic terms. Fits the writer profile, you know?
