Let's talk thrift store bargain LBs, who is hot or not?

Postby lukkynumber13 » Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:38 pm

I've built my IDP squad around plucking bargain guys and it's been working well so far. The only established guy on my roster for LBs is Freeman.

So I want to open the discussion about what stop-gap LBs are really beasting right now, who's under the radar but whose stock will be rising, and who is about to see their stock take a plunge?

Zach Orr, dude is balling. Out producing Mosley, and looks like a legit LB2, maybe low-end LB1

Will Compton, playing all 3 downs. I love him as an every week starter who I got for free during the off-season

Tahir Whitehead, playing all 3 downs but he's disappeared for stretches. Still a solid LB3 for sure

Zach Brown of course is the epitome of this discussion. Owning tackle production behind that leaky D-line

Todd Davis, unfortunately not playing all 3 downs, and that Denver D doesn't allow for too much tackle production

Corey James certainly has been a playmaker the past 2 weeks! Playing every down next to Smith

Jatavis Brown playing very well. Playing more snaps than Perryman

Anthony Hitchens has disappointed me, only playing about 40% of snaps. Holding for when Lee gets hurt tho

Christian Kirksey is playing 3-downs and putting up solid stats. Haven't watched any game film

Justin March has only been playing about 50% of snaps but has been getting decent numbers

B. McKinney is gonna eat while Watt misses the year, will he play 3 downs once Cushing is 100%?

Sio Moore got cut! Morrison time?

Idk what to expect from ATL, everyone hurt.

NO is a mess unless you own Robertson. Is Anthony bad at football? What's going on? Twilight Zone...

Most of these guys definitely seemed to come out of nowhere, let's see if they can sustain their performances through week 4. Sio Moore getting cut was kind of a shocker to me, luckily I picked up Morrison a few weeks ago, I guess the Colts have liked what they've seen out of the rookie so far.

Speaking of Stephone Anthony I have no clue why he isn't playing, he looked great for a rookie MLB last year...I can't explain this one at all, maybe he's not a good fit in their scheme other than at MLB.

Lukky, I roster almost all of them on my main team. Lucky, but diligent. Holding these players gives me lots of flexibility for trading. Currently looking to deal Zach Brown for a rental QB. Salary/contract league.

And then cut him 2 weeks later when he breaks down with yet another injury.

Robertson gonna hold onto the WLB role even after Ellerbe comes back?

I've never found Ellerbe to even be very good. Maybe I just don't like him and have a bias, but he seems limited.
