CJ for Hyde???

Postby snuffalupicus » Fri Aug 19, 2016 2:06 pm

I was offered CJ and Booker for Hyde and Draughn. I think Hyde can break out in Kelly's offense but he's often injured. CJ is more proven, and also is often injured. I'm guessing the Kubiak offense will be kinder in fantasy to an RB.

What are your thoughts?

I prefer CJ to hyde, and also prefer Booker to Draughn, obviously long term as well as Booker is the highly touted RB, couple that with Denver having Kubiak running the show for the foreseeable future.

Chip in San Fran is intriguing, having potential for tons of plays in the short term window, but is the RB in a Kubiak offense of lesser value even in that same short term window?

I like Hyde here, I'm admittedly a niner home so take it as you will. Hyde is at home in shotgun sets where he'll spend the majority of his time in Kelly's system as he did in OU. Anderson was shaky last season until the playoff run imo. But will likely see a good volume with whatever signal caller they nudge. But to be honest here I like Hillman more than Anderson and now booker is in the fold so even with CJs new contract you have to see a time share coming sooner or later. On the other side draughn looked alright in relieve play last year but playing from behind all the time he was given 6 of 8 yards a touch as long as it was underneath. Mike Davis will be the number 2 by mid-season and Hyde will get all the work he can handle. The moral of my story here is they are both question marks but I think Hyde has more upside.

I do not like Anderson much as a RB. The most confusing part of the off season for me was watching how many teams were interested in him as a free agent. I'm not under the impression that I'm more talented an evaulter then several NFL scouting groups so I acknowledge I'm missing something.

I think Booker is a serious threat to take touches away from CJ and make both of them inferior to Hyde alone. I have no interest in Draughn as a prospect. I would personally counter for Hyde and his 2017 second round pick.

Its CJ side really easily for me. Much better situation and CJ has had extended periods of success. Hyde has had one good game.

Its pretty close but I like Hyde myself. I think the situation he will be in has major upside and I think he has a breakout year.

I'd go with Hyde just because I'm worried that if CJA starts off slow he could be in for a timeshare.
