Trade Value of Brandon Marshall

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Value of Brandon Marshall

Postby grimace » Thu Apr 15, 2010 12:38 pm

I have another owner interested in Marshall, and I'm trying to gauge his Trade Value.

NonPPR League QB TD=6, Return yards, Tackles =1.5, Sacks =6
Start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 2Flex 3DL 4LB 3DB

His notable players of Value
QB: Rogers, MCNabb BigBen, Kolb
RB: ADP, MJD, SJax, Turner, Charles
WR: Bouldin, CJohnson AJohnson Cotchery
TE Cook, Davis Cooley
IDP: Willis, Ruud, Peppers, Mario Williams, Lofton, Durant
Pics 1.4, 2.10

He said he wants Marshall and will involve pic 1.4

My Team:
OB: PMann, EMann, Whitehurst
RB: CJ2K Greene PThomas KSmith Lynch Choice
WR: Wayne, DJax, Marshall White Aromashadu Ogletree, Edleman
TE: Clark, Miller(Jac)
IDP: Cole Dansby Levy Poz DWill EJHend
Pics 1.5 1.10 2.7

It's not like I'm looking to move Marshall, but I don't want to pass up a good opportunity if it arises. Keep in mind this is the top team in the league, and I'm tied for 2nd with another team ideally. What would be a good offer?

Thanks for your input

Turner and the 1.04 sounds good to me in a non-ppr league.

Nah.. I wouldn´t do that if I were you. Marshall is a young stud WR and Turner is old and a RB(well.. he´s 28..but thats not exactly young for a RB).

I´d try Pierre Thomas and Marshall for All Day or MJD.But then again you have a nice team and while you´d win at RB, you´d lose at WR...and right now your team seems strong and balanced.
24 roster spots - 1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1Flex

QB: Herbert,Minshew
RB: Breece,Walker,Taylor,BRobinson,Allgeier,Spiller
WR:Jefferson,Lamb,DJMoore,QJohnston,Jameson,MMims, T.Marshall,Shakir,Gallup
TE: Andrews,Conklin
DST:DAL
2024 picks: 1.11, 2.10, 4.01, 4.05, 4.07, 4.11

I agree with this. Marshall's value in non-ppr takes a big hit, especially relative to a guy like Turner. He needs Marshall more than you need to get rid of him, so I think this is a nice package for you. It will solidify your RBs and still leave you strong at WR, plus you gain a top 4 pick and will be position to take a guy like Golden Tate, Demaryius Thomas or Jahvid Best.

I'd want any one of his other 4 RBs before I took Turner in a deal. He'll break down again this season and at 28 you are going to have a horrible time moving him. You certainly aren't going to get a stud WR in return.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Nobody is giving you that for Marshall in a NON PPR league

Try Marshall, DJax, 1.5, and 1.10 for AJ, and 1.4

I've seen dynasty cheatsheets that have Marshall as the #4WR, with Calvin & Andre both above him. That would give him 3 of the top 4 dynasty WRs to go along with his top rated dynasty QB and his 2 of the top 3 dynasty RBs. I would feel out how he values Marshall. Does he happen to like Marshall better than Calvin? Some do. If so, trade straight up. Does he like Marshall enough to give up AP or MJD somehow for him?

You can go super blockbuster & offer Chris Johnson & Marshall for AP & MJD.

Which Davis does he have as a TE? Vernon or Fred? If Vernon, maybe do some sorta package deal that sends Dallas Clark to him & Vernon to you.

Why wouldnt you for a top 5 WR? Turner only has a year or two in him as does Boldin. The 1.4 is a crap shoot with an average rb gonna be available.

The guy has the firepower to do it too. Turner will not play for him, and the upgrade from Boldin to Marshall is huge.
