Kevin Smith

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kevin Smith

Postby gratefulydead3 » Mon Apr 05, 2010 3:33 pm

I was just offered Kevin Smith, 3.04 for Dustin Keller, Karlos Dansby, 3.06

I like it, but I just want to make sure I'm not overvaluing Kevin Smith or undervaluing Dustin Keller

12 team, 53 man roster, non-PPR, with a 6 round rookie draft

I dont like it, because I dont like Kevin Smith.. but I do like Dustin Keller and Karlos Dansby, who.. depending on your IDP scoring, might be very valuable.

I don't like it either. By the time Smith is back in action the Lions will have another back, most likely better then Smith. I wouldn't accept that.

Dansby is my 3rd LB. We can only start 2-3 and I have Willis and Cushing along with 3-4 startable players

Also with Witten I already have a top 5 TE, and I was planning on going TE with the 3.04 thanks to the deep class this year

I don't like it either, Smith's situation looks a mess.

I don't really see the point in the picks as they basically the same. I don't do IDP so I have no idea where value is for Dansby.

I like Kevin Smith and I think Keller is very average in a league where TEs run deep so depending on how valuable Dansby is I might make the deal. You obviously need RBs. I would probably shop Keller and the 1.06 around though and see if you can get someone more secure than Smith.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Tell me how he's a worse option than Forte? His PPG average is better than Forte and as of now he's still the top guy in Detroit

What is your IDP scoring like?

I'm also fielding an offer that includes Gore and doesn't require Keller

I'll tell you how. He's coming off major knee surgery and had a millions carries in college. While I'm not a Forte fan myself, Forte is a much better option because he's playing.

Smith is the man right now? Maybe if the Lions are your team in Madden right now.

6 pts per fumble recovery TD
2 pts per forced fumble
6 pts per interception return TD
3 pts per interception
.1 pts per interception return yards
1 pt per pass defended
1 pt per tackle
.5 pts per assist
1.5 per sack

probably didn't need to be so specific but oh well

Forte has two working knees. Smith has a question mark over how long and what sort of recovery he will take.

Maurice Morris. They draft and possibly trade for an established back IMO.
