With the 30th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:
Mike Iupati, OG Idaho
Not a sexy pick, but fills a major need on the Minnesota line.
Mock Draft 3.0 - PICKS ONLY
With the 31st pick of the NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select DE - Jared Odrick .
Caldwell has made it an effort to get bigger and stronger on the defensive line, and Polian finds value in the draft and players who fit the system to fill out the roster. So I look for the Colts to target some big defensive tackles if they're available. If Jared Odrick falls past the Patriots, the Colts may try to move up a few spots, but I love the fact that Odrick fell to the Colts in this mock. They could use some depth in their always banged up secondary, or some insurance for Freeney and Mathis. They're still searching for a long-term answer at LT, and Jeff Saturday who will be 35 when the season begins, may only have a few years of quality football left in him. Given the rise in talent with MJD and Chris Johnson in the division, the Colts need to address the defense in the first round.
•Other considerations: Nate Allen, Charles Brown, Rodger Saffold, and DT - D'Anthony Smith, Louisiana Tech.
Smith shows average production against the run, but excells in pass protection. He has ideal size to play at either DT, or DE an area the Colts may need to look at due to Freeney's injuries last year, and the brutal game MJD and Chris Johnson bring in the division. The Colts have a special ability to enhance a players talent, and Smith already has a variety of pass-rush moves..

with the 32nd pick in the NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select Everson Griffin DE USC
The Saints have the ability to go into this draft not focused on a single player or position. Griffen is one of the best players on the board and fits a real position of need. OLB is another option at this point.

With the 33rd pick in the 2010 NFl draft, the St. Louis Rams select:
Jahvid Best,RB,California
The Titans showed that it doesn´t need a big time WR to help out and boost their team big time. Best hasn´t the speed of Chris Johnson(nobody but Taylor Mays has!!!!!!), but he´s a playmaker, something their new franchise QB definately needs in order to be successfull. They have Steven Jackson.. but he has a history of injuries and beside that you never can have enough weapons of that caliber. The Rams could´be drafted a WR here(Arrelious Benn from Illinois) or something for their defense(DE,CB,DT is a need).. but they saw what a guy like Chris Johnson can do and therefore they select Best(which also should help to keep SJax healthy and fresh for more than just the next two seasons).
Others considered: Arrelious Benn,WR,Illinois

34th pick, the Detroit Lions...
Pass on filling their need at running back and select:
Devin McCourty, CB, the RUT
This team wants to build their defense. With Suh and now McCourty they fill two big holes and will get a very solid choice of backs still likely on the board in round three.

With the 35th pick in the NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Arrelious Benn WR Illinois
The Bucs need a playmaker for Josh Freeman to throw to. Benn has all the skills to be a #1 WR for the Bucs and it is just a matter of putting it all together on the field.
Other considerations: Golden Tate, Carlos Dunlap, Charles Brown, Jerry Hughes

Chiefs select Golden Tate WR Notre Dame. Weis gets a new toy and a player he knows works in his system. I doubt Tate makes it this far but if he did KC will not hesitate to take him. They could go safety this round after passing on Berry and taking a tackle in the 1st.

With the 38th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select
Charles Brown, OT, USC
The Browns have a number of needs in this draft. They may consider taking a QB here, but there really isn't anyone I think would fit a Holmgren system that would be a good selection at this point with the plan to go into the 2010 season with Delhomme and Wallace as the 1-2. They can either wait until later or even until the 2011 draft to address the position. They have already invested in DB and LB this offseason and drafted Berry in the 1st. They will move to the other side of the ball and address some needed help at the right tackle position.

If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
With the 40th pick, the San Diego Chargers select Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama
Jackson is what the Chargers need.... A tough, physical CB who WILL play the run, unlike the recently departed Cromartie, or even Jammer as of late. The Bolts Secondary was a major liability in tackling, so this pick makes sense.

With the 41st pick, the Buffalo Bills select: Jerry Hughes, TCU, OLB
With the Bills' second pick, they decide to grab Jerry Hughes. The Bills are aware that a dominant NT is a huge need to make the conversion to the 3-4 defense work, but they also know that perhaps the second most important thing that a good 3-4 defense needs is quality LB's. And LB depth has been an issue. Schobel might return ( I think he will ) and Maybin is probably better suited for a 3-4, but Hughes gives them another option if Schobel retires this year or next. I don't know if it makes sense to have two pass rushers playing OLB in a 3-4, but I like it. Hughes is nasty behind the line of scrimmage. And he's athletic enough to cover RBs in the flats. Perhaps this is my own dream of the Bills putting together one of the most feared defenses in football... but can you blame me?
Other considerations: Cam Thomas, or a different LB or WR

New England Patriots select
Damien Williams WR USC
Do you really want to leave the WR duties to Aiken and Edelmen with question marks over Welker and with Moss being in a contract year this gets a potential replacement for him in a year early
