Exactly you may be in the same position as before but got some extra picks anyway. It just sucks that you won't be able to get Coleman like you maybe wanted. It would be really funny though if Treadwell fell to you lolPhaded wrote:Good question - and as I was basically prepared to take a QB at 1.02, I guess I would have to take whoever is leftover between Wentz & Goff at 1.07. Although, I truly do hope that doesn't become the case. Even if it happens though, at least I added 2 more picks and got the guy I was still considering.

1. Great trade!!Phaded wrote:Found out that the 1.01 would be taking Zeke (as expected) after talking to him.
Traded 1.02 to a QB needy team for 1.07, 1.12 & 2.12. May or may not be the "best value" but I'll be happy getting the depth.
2. Lynch at 1.7 (slight reach) or 1.12 would GREAT, IMO. You get a QB who could hit or miss like Goff/Wentz and pick up other assets (possibly Shepard) along with it!

That would be a really cruel twist of fate, now wouldn't it? I can't see him falling that far though with the fantasy hype around him, but even I wouldn't pass on him at 7th overall.TomBobAnderson wrote:Exactly you may be in the same position as before but got some extra picks anyway. Wouldn't use the first pick on Lynch - at least, as long as 1 of my 4 top WRs are there. If all 4 are gone, may consider it then. If he's there at 1.12, he'll probably be the pick or I may try to trade down again as 2.01 & 2.02 are QB needy.moishetreats wrote:2. Lynch at 1.7 (slight reach) or 1.12 would GREAT, IMO. Will do - draft has officially started but first pick is still on the clock.DJB wrote:Let us know how the draft goes today

Good luck! I wish I still had a rookie draft
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..
Re: If you could afford to wait two years - Goff or Wentz?
Wentz went 1.02
Goff went 1.03
Goff went 1.03

Do you a direct link to the draft? That would be great!

So trading down to 1.07 worked out better for me than I imagined it would. I managed to grab Josh Doctson there after Michael Thomas was selected as the 2nd WR off the board at 1.05.
Sure thing, click here. It's on ESPN.DJB wrote:Do you a direct link to the draft? That would be great!

Getting a "only league members can view message board" error with the link. Also did I read that right Michael Thomas was the 2nd WR off the board?

Glad you traded out of that spot. I just think these QBs are vastly overrated and not worth their price even in a 2QB or superflex league.

Re: If you could afford to wait two years - Goff or Wentz?
Weird that the link does not work - I checked and the league is set to Public.
I guess ESPN does not allow public members to view message boards even if the league is set to Public?
Anyhow - because there seems to be some interest here in regards to this draft, I will post updates. Here are the picks so far:
1.01: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys
1.02: Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles
1.03: Jared Goff, QB, Rams
1.04: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Vikings
1.05: Michael Thomas, WR, Saints
1.06: Corey Coleman, WR, Browns
1.07: Josh Doctson, WR, Redskins
1.08: Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants
I agree that these QBs are overrated - but the price is honestly about right for a Superflex.

While I did not actually expect it to happen in the slightest with Michael Thomas - I'm also not too surprised. I also think calling it "unbelievable" is a stretch and premature. Sure, it does not coincide with consensus rankings but it's not like Thomas is a projected 2nd round pick in dynasty. Even in the rankings here, he is projected as only a few picks after the other guys. Myself personally in the pre draft process, I admitted I like Thomas better than Treadwell and would not be surprised if he ends up the best WR in this class (and it could still happen). Regardless, I'm happy that Thomas went where he did. It allowed me to get Doctson (although I would have MUCH preferred Coleman).Bot101 wrote:Unbelievable...
