What WR could I get for 1.6?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What WR could I get for 1.6?

Postby bigbuck22 » Tue May 17, 2016 11:16 am

Anyone got any ideas on younger WRs in the league that I could trade my 1.6 (possibly a little more) for? I'm afraid Tread, Doctson, Coleman, Shepard may all go before 1.6. If I could, find a trade target in that scenario, I'd be much happier than having to pick someone I'm not happy with. Wanting to cover all my bases and be prepared if that does happen.

Looking for ideas here...

Thanks!

It can be tough to address these wide open questions but I think that the Sneads, Lockettes, Perrimans and Diggs of the world should be considered a fair target with the 1.06. Of course there will be posters here who freak out because I listed a guy they're higher or lower on, but if I owned these guys, I'd strongly consider the 1.06.

Agreed on Lockett and Perriman but why oh why would you trade that pick for Snead when you can just take Michael Thomas.

To the original OP- I also own 1.06 for team in sig and am going WR. I'd also prefer Shepard but if you get stuck with the pick Thomas is an easy choice for me

Hmmm... If all the WRs are gone through Shepard, I'd probably go QB (although I'd rather not). What about guys like DGB, Kevin White, or John Brown. I'd probably have to add something to DGB and White but how much?

I think you'd likely have to add for any of those guys.

Brandon Marshall comes to mind if you are not thinking rookie at 1.6, I really like him, but if he doesn't do it for ya, how about Eric Decker, Marvin Jones, Maclin....maybe with a little extra ammo you could get R Cobb or G Tate.

That's a good call as well, targeting a few of those older vetran WR's if you're leaning more of a win now scenario. As far as the guys I mentioned, the addition of an early 2nd for White or an early-mid 2nd for DGB might do the trick. Really depends on who you're dealing with.

I'm not really in win now mode. At this point, I'm just hoping to make the playoffs, but I'd like to be a contender relatively soon. That said, my WRs need an influx of young talented youth.

White/2.2 for 1.6/Diggs
White for 1.6/2/6
These okay?

What about John Brown? His owner (drafts end of 1st) wants to add a QB. Do we think Fitz will hang them up after this year? Will Floyd go elsewhere either through trade or free agency? I'm reluctant to chase Brown unless the consensus is that he'd move into that WR2 role for Arizona after this year.

I think the 1.o6 and Diggs is close, but I wouldn't expect a 2nd back. After further review, the 1.06 and 2.06 seems a bit lite. I had a hard time getting the white owner to bite on the 1.04 and 2.04. Might have to reconsider, but I think it's close enough to be in the realm of "fair", and he may take it.

Would you wait to see which players are available OTC at 1.6? Basically rank the rookie WRs, White, DGB, Brown.

At 1.06 youre looking at Micheal Thomas and POSSIBLY Shepard if someone goes rogue on you prior to your pick. I would personally rank them:

White
DGB
Sheppard
Thomas
Brown.

I would absolutely wait if you have the luxury. The benefit behind taking Thomas is you don't have to add anything to get him. There are some threads here regarding Thomas that might help a bit. I'd search them out.

Because it's a super flex there is a chance Coleman drops down a bit... Where does he fall in these rankings for you?
