Same.
I mean they aren't currently in the same tiers for me so I 100% would take this trade. You give up lockett and a 5th to get wr2 production. While Lockett and Floyd probably have similar projections, Floyd has prototypical WR1 build and has a higher ceiling if he can put it together. I also love acquiring guys during contract years as they typically have their best seasons. You could probably get better immediate return on Floyd asking for a 2nd round pick at a minimum.

Since Floyd's 2nd year I bought him almost ever season expecting him to breakout because of his "prototypical" WR1 measurables. This will be his 5th season in the league and barely broke 1,000 yards ONCE (2013) and 6TDs is his highest total in one season. I have Lockette rated higher based on potential. Floyd is a fine WR3/4. Lockette imo has WR2 upside and if your league does return yards Lockette is the clear choice

WR - AJ Brown, DJ Moore, Gabriel Davis, Slayton, Hamler, Isabella
TE - Fant, Burton, Firkser, Keene, Okuegbunam

As much as I might agree about dogging Floyd for not getting up to his potential, I don't see Lockett every being a top producer. Floyd had several 100+ yard games a year ago. Definitely still ahead of Lockett.

No offense to anyone but maybe I missed something. When did Tyler lockett turn into a world beater? He's an excellent return man and a good slot receiver. I still recall him being a body catcher and I don't put body catchers above WR3 status. With Lockett, I'd be hoping he has a career year so I can trade him and get some good return. Brandin cooks he is not. I don't see how this is a question.

As a Seahawks homer and a huge fan of Lockett as a actual player, I'd take Floyd. You just don't know who will be used in the Seahawks offense. In any given game, Baldwin, Kearse, or Lockett could go 7/100/2 or 3/33/0, and you never know who it'll be that week.

This is factually incorrect. Lockett is mostly split out wide and takes roughly a quarter of his snaps in the slot. I don't think anyone in this thread said that he was a world beater. People like what he has shown and his potential.

Personally, I would still lean Floyd.

Give me Lockett, I think he's more talented by a mile. Floyd hasn't shown anything more than being a WR3 and he's 27 already. Give me the young, high upside guy. Going SEA keeps developing the passing game too.

I'm just not sure why Lockett gets so much love. Looks great in the return game. But he doesn't get the targets, yards, or TDs... It is terribly concerning that in multiple games last year he didn't even record a catch. Granted, he is younger but I don't see him anywhere near the upside some seem to be expecting. I also don't know why there is such a strong belief about Seattle changing up their offense. 2 Superbowls with this system... Why change it? Just look at what happened with the acquisition of Graham. Nothing. Pete Carroll doesn't use the TE as a feature in his offense. Likewise of he has a run first methodology, he will keep using the same approach.
