This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

DeMarco for 1.07

Postby harveyd » Sun Mar 13, 2016 12:18 am

I'm a contender and I want to beef up my RB corps for a title run. What do you guys think about trading the 2016 1.07 for demarco murray?

12 teams, 0.5PPR, start 1QB/2RB/2WR/TE/2FLEX
Luck, Cousins, Bradford
Hill, Langford, Mathews, Foster, Dunbar, Scrubs
AJG, Cobb, JMatt, Marshall, Diggs, Garcon
Gronk, Gates, Fleener

Personally I like the move, I feel like they'll draft Tunsill at 1.01 and give DeMarco a chance to be workhorse in Tennessee,
I mean put it this way, do you prefer the 1.07 in ADP currently or DeMarco? I'd probably go DeMarco because he's a starting RB in the league and will be given the opportunity to make something happen in Tennesee, he's also less of a risk than who you'll get at 1.07 where everyone in this draft isn't amazing outside of Zeke and Treadwell,
Just my opinion though!

I think that is a decent deal. There is still some risk involved that DeMarco doesn't regain his form, but he is probably less risky than who you could select at 1.07. Not sure if you have that offer on the table, but as a point of reference I have had preliminary discussions of sending my 1.08 for DeMarco Murray and was told I would need to include something else small. No discussion has been had of what the add on would be.

I own Murray and that offer might have appealed to me a week ago, but not now.

I like Murray, i mean he is only 1 year removed from being the most dominant RB in the league, right? That clown show up in Philly severely depressed his value in my opinion, he should be the de facto workhorse in Tennessee. Plus, I dont think theres much to worry about in terms of his backups showing him up. I tried so hard to telepathically will David Cobb to do something last year, dude is just a turd. I havent looked much at who will be draftable at #7, but i'd have a hard time believing that anyone drafted that late will approach Murray's numbers.

Would be a steal for a contending team.

I like that trade for you. I think Murray basically had a year off last season for whatever reason. I think we will see more of the Dallas Murray this year. He hax a coach now that likes to pound the rock.
