Bortles /Coleman /Diggs for M. Gordon / Perrimen

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Bortles /Coleman /Diggs for M. Gordon / Perrimen

Postby Chefrob1027 » Wed Mar 09, 2016 9:24 am

Pretty straight forward here, team Keap-tain Ruin the Day. I'd be getting Gordon and Perrimen, could squeeze in a 3 probably in return as well. Appreciate thoughts as always.

Personally I think you should keep Bortles. BUT if M. Gordon can find his groove this year that would be a nice upgrade to your RB core. **I'm a big Diggs fan though**

I'm on the Bortles/Diggs/Coleman side. Not sure if Gordon (Wisconsin RB stigma) will be successful and Perriman hasn't even played a down yet.

Bortles is a top-10 Dynasty QB, Diggs right now is a WR3 with WR1-2 upside, & Coleman was named the starter at the beginning of the camp last year and Freeman, outside of 6 games, didn't impress me a whole lot.

I'm not a bortles beliver, nor am I a Diggs guy. Personally I think bortles was a product of terrible defence and great reciever play. Diggs I just don't want to rely on in any way, that offence is run based and Let's face it, Bridgewater is not a good quarterback. Coleman I do like ALOT and Freeman is nothing but a jag, yes he looked good for a few games but when your used to defending Julio every play and not seeing a run game what do ever out of Atlanta then it grants even the worst back a great opportunity. After teams started defending the run Freeman looked less than pedestrian. Coleman is a very good looking back just biding his time.

On the other side I see a WR 1 with no competition for targets and a back that was hampered by historicly bad line play. Both of these guys should get every chance in the world to be top talents. Now I realize this doesn't guarantee anything but I feel like what I'm giving hails in comparison what I could be receiving. Also I would be getting Rivers in this deal.

I'm just looking for posting opinions. I like to hear other points of view when making moves like this because I like to see things from every vantage before taking my shot. There is always someone bringing something to the table I didn't consider or thoroughly contemplate.

I agree, my mind is usually made up about a potential deal but I always like to hear things from a different point of view

Are you offering or making the offer?

Offering, I know it's light and that's why I brought it here. To get some feedback on what I could add to make it acceptable to the owners of Gordon /Perrimen

I'd swap Bortles out for Ryan and make the offer. I really like having Gordon/Perriman instead of Coleman/Diggs and would be willing to give up Ryan to make that happen.

But your initial offer has Bortles in it... And why would great receiver play be a bad thing?

He wants a young qb, and I didn't say it was a bad thing at all I just meant his play (statistics) was propped up by it. Not something you can count on all the time much like the garbage time he Capitolizes on, it's not a bad thing but not something I want to rely on.
