Price for Cody Lattimer?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Price for Cody Lattimer?

Postby Cam_Nielsen » Tue Aug 18, 2015 6:43 am

Want to try and pick up Cody Lattimer and was wondering what owners of Lattimer would accept in a trade for him. The current owner is stockpiling players/picks and will have to drop quite a few after the rookie draft. My team is in the sig and I also have the 4.02 pick in this draft and all of my picks in next year's draft (4 rounds).

I was initially thinking Knile Davis for Cody Lattimer + 3rd this year or something like 2016 2nd + 2016 3rd for Lattimer though I'm not sure either move really helps my team right now or if I would do them. I just think Lattimer's value is just about at bottom right now and want to make a speculative investment.

I wouldn't take Davis straight up for Latimer much less add a 3rd.
The 2nd and 3rd are meh. I'd probably rather hold and see what Latimer's got then ship him for other shots in the dark.

I like Davis better, but then I don't think much of Lattimer. Probably wouldn't waste a waiver claim on him.

Anyone who owns Latimer is probably already higher on him than most, so that person would have zero incentive to trade him. The only thing that you can really probably try is a high 2nd rd pick. Anything past that would be pointless for me to take for him.

I own both Latimer and Davis. I have some high hopes for Davis, but I am a little higher on Latimer. Just slightly. I would say fair value would probably be a 2nd round pick. Don't know if I personally would move him for that as a straight 1 for 1, but if it was part of a package I might be willing to include Latimer to get a 2nd. I want to see what he can do.

I valued him as a late 1st, and packaged him with Joique and riddick to get the 1.07.

I don't think K.Davis is worth much and surely not worth the hope that LAttimer is possibly something... maybe.

Don't invest to much. His future over next 2 years is murky IMO. Sanders signed till 2017 season and DT just signed 4,year deal. PM likely retiring end of season and Kubiak system hasn't produced pair of fantasy starting WRs since Easy Ed and Hot Rod . Agree with earlier posts most owners that own him currently value him as high as WR3 with upside which I think personally way too optimistic . Lot of chips and injuries have to fall for Latimer to be relevant this year. Throw in he has produced zero and it makes it more of wild card who knows if he produces with opportunity . To OP if you can get Kniles Davis straight up for him go for it but you can't expect any thing extra.

You'd be hard pressed to get him for less then a late 1st/early 2nd. When I've inquired around for him that's what everyone wants. That may not be his "value" in many eyes but he's one of those guys that owners are going to sit on him for a couple years unless you blow them away. Now if you find an owner that is sour or down on him then you might get him cheaper. I wouldn't take anything less then a 1st for him, that's for sure. And I expect nothing out of him until 2017. Also there is no way I would take Davis straight up for him, you'd need to add something to Davis.

Seems like the debate is split on Knile vs Cody; though as many have pointed out, Lattimer owners will likely side on the latter side of the argument.

Not sure there is a good offer here as I don't have enough draft picks to really make something work and I'd like to hold K. Davis as a handcuff to Charles this year should anything happen there.
