Fantasy wise, what is his value right now ? I've got Josh Allen and owning two studs is not necessary
His value is spread out with pretty wide variance right now. He’s my QB 3 but some will have him between QB 5-10. It’s not a good time to sell him, it would be a better time to sell Allen but it depends on what you’re going for. If you could get a first for Allen it would be better to do that than get a mid 2 for Dak. Allen vs Dak 1 QB is close enough I’d rather have the better secondary piece which in this case is an earlier pick

Tried to buy him, but the owner in my league has him at QB2 overall. Obviously at that price I'd just buy Murray, Mahommes, Watson, or Allen instead.

Impact on Dak, Zeke, Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, etc?

Have to say from a neutral perspective it would have been cool seeing a young franchise QB hit the market but good for him getting the bag as a 4th round pick

I came here to start the discussion but figured someone would beat me to it!

It's good for all the skill position players and solidifies their value. Without Dak (or a lesser QB) I'd be a lot less happy about holding any of the skill position players you mentioned. Now it feels like their value is safe.

Andy Dalton made Dak a lot of money. It wasn't quite the Bledsoe to Brady handoff this year in Dallas. Or even a Brady to Cassell 1 year plug & play.

The schwammi sez:

DAL will not go to the SB during the Dak tenure.

Since I'm not a Dallas fan, I really couldn't care less if they do or not. But I am happy about the move for the skill position players!

Well, the odds are stacked against almost all current QBs.

Overall, Dak is best off in Dallas and the Cowboys are better off with him. Glad they got a deal done.

Great news for the Dallas skill position players IMO.

This was expected. I don't think it moves any of the position players since Dak was already the QB. Lamb is going to be there for the longest most likely, so if you really like Dak, it would be smart to acquire Lamb too

One or both of Gallup & Cooper will not be back after next season, so yeah, the Lamb window is closing.

I have no idea what shape the Dallas cap situation is in... but it cant be pretty with so much money tied up in Dak and Zeke, at least paying a solid QB a boat load of money makes sense... I think from a winning stand point it really hamstrings the team (all big contracts do, you can only really win with rookie deal QBs that are playing like top tier guys, or have Brady/Manning... ) but from a business stand point this is going to butts in seats and jerseys on backs

I’ve been trying to land Lamb all offseason to no avail. This pretty much slams the door on any shot I think. Definitely a great thing for all of the position players.

Hmmmm....Good point. I really like Lamb too and feel he'd been a little undervalued this offseason (compared to say, Justin Jefferson). Maybe I should have tried harder to land him too. You're probably right that his price just went up quite a bit.

At least I can take a little comfort in Gallup also catching passes from someone better than Dalton for one more season.
