Week 3 2021
Re: Week 3 2021
Rest assured teams are gonna see this CMC injury and give less snaps to every star RB on Thursday nights from here on out. WFT was already doing it with Gibson. Managing these RBs is gonna get even more tricky now from here on out, something to keep an eye on.
Not trying to overreact and i dont haven any CMC stock but some of the CMC owners have to be a bit concerned, right? He is at that age+ carry cliff where these kinds of things become common. Again i dont have CMC so i dont know how hard it would be to let a player of his caliber go, but some of you must be thinking it correct?

So in 2020 and now 2021, they're giving him around 30 touches a game. What did they honestly expect to happen? He's not a big guy.Patsfan86 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:49 am Rest assured teams are gonna see this CMC injury and give less snaps to every star RB on Thursday nights from here on out. I've been waiting for the violins to start with owners complaining that we never talk about Cooks and how he's undervalued.

Re: Week 3 2021
I was kind of expecting him to have a bad year with the organization and QB, but I'll take 20 ppg... but they haven't looked AS bad as I thought and Mills seems competent. They'd be smart to give him a long look if they are really going to trade WatsonOrenthal Shames wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 7:25 amMah Dood

Re: Week 3 2021
No, last year they used Moore as more of a field stretcher. Teddy wasn't good for him, don't get me wrong. I think Samuel leaving was the best thing to happen for DJM, because now they are using him all over the field again. As for Mills, he looked OK, but doesn't have much mobility, and Tyrod was moving the ball a lot better before he got hurt, so I expect Tyrod back in a few games. The Texans will be moving Watson at some point, and either getting a QB back in the deal, or will have a plethora of picks, including their own to add a QB. Most starting QB's are first round picks in the league, and the ones that aren't, like Carr (early 2nd) Russ, Dak etc. had much better college careers and experience. Mills is a long shot to be a starter in this league, but if he ends up there, he will certainly have earned it, because the odds are stacked against him. I think the more realistic/likely outcome is a backup role for Mills.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 4:21 amThat's a weird way of saying "Teddy Bridgewater". DJ Moore was open a ton last year and for whatever reason wasn't getting targets. Robby was being force fed instead. Seems like the tables finally turned.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 10:24 pmHe's getting peppered. They are using him properly this year. The role he had last year, was so limiting to his skill set.
I agree with you on Darnold. Idk if Gase ruined him or this is still a carryover from him being a bit careless in college and was never corrected. But he has to make some more throws and not fumble so much. They recovered both of them so it's not being viewed as a big of a deal to people.
And honestly, Mills looks a bit like Darnold. Made some nice throws, seems like a smart guy, was making checks, motions, etc. Semi mobile. The TD drive before the half was awesome. Stuff you expect from a QB but not necessarily a day 2 rookie against a top D. Id say he belongs, probably as a backup in the league or spot starter. But he had some bad plays and didn't connect on any deep balls besides the one to Cooks I think. Carolina D is really good though and they shut down the run. I thought Mills was in for a worse performance. He didn't turn the ball over which I was thinking he would. I'm really glad I got him in both leagues

CMC expected to miss “a few weeks” per initial report, but avoids IR at least for now. That’s honestly surprising to me but has to be encouraging for his fantasy owners.

If you are a competitor he simply offers your team the best chance of winning when he is healthy. I’ve considered moving him at times but it would still cost a fortune and now would be the worst time to reconsider selling.Patsfan86 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:49 am Not trying to overreact and i dont haven any CMC stock but some of the CMC owners have to be a bit concerned, right? It is. I am holding him. 2 teams where I am a top tier team is where I have him, and if I do trade him, it would be in the off season. He's just too much of a difference maker in season. I'm fine with IR, and 3 missed games. This is good news, I just want him to be back 100 percent, so hope they don't bring him back too early. Being the early game this week, it will give him over 3 weeks to heal if they plan on him missing only 2 games.blemly wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:46 amIf you are a competitor he simply offers your team the best chance of winning when he is healthy. Nick "systems" Sirianni feels like that kid who tries too hard to be everybody's friend. That "Beat Dallas" T-Shirt that he wore at his press conference is just in bad taste for a HC, IMO. It's going to be heavily photo shopped and meme'd if they lose, that much I know.
