You should still feel great about it. Lockett is the best WR on the team.
Yea, I know he's still the WR1 but I always play the long game in Dynasty and I'd written off DK as a situational deep threat all offseason. He showed more versatility than I knew he had in week 1, and I could see a world now where DK ends up being the WR1 in SEA for years to come.

We'll see what happens.
I still only see him that way.

Another nice day for D.K.

3 for 61 with a TD. 7 targets was 2nd on the team which isn’t bad considering everyone targets the slot DB.

The Lockett DK duo will serve Wilson well going forward.

Ice (and other Metcalf fans),

Just stumbled across this tweet and thought you might get enjoyment out of it (if you had not already seen it):

Thanks, I am not a twitter user but enjoyed the quick read.

DK as a rookie is exceeding expectations. He is an obvious legit red zone threat on a very conservative offense:

I expected around 8 or so TD’s this season with some upside.

People do like to bash this player for a variety of reason from health, experience, and route running but what should be obvious to everyone is the fact he is developing as a player and Wilson is certainly looking his way with confidence when scores are needed.

The future looks very bright for DK. His upside should be obvious at this point to everyone that is studying his play.

Looking forward to seeing his development over the next few years as he matures and develops his rare skill sets.

The Seahawks organization has to be very pleased overall with their selection.

I've been very impressed by DK. He's looked good and fits well with Russ. I'm a buyer.

Why? Not saying I'm a huge fan, and, yes, I wish he were more passing oriented ... but there's a lot worse coaches when it comes to developing raw talent. I think Carroll love Metcalf, so he should continue to get opportunities to grow & develop.

I agree with this, I'm quite happy with Carroll's presence for Metcalf's development.

what is there to develop? I think getting targets and letting your all-world QB throw more would be a good way to develop. If you mean as a person/adult/professional then I don't know how to judge that from my couch but Pete does seem supportive.

Anyways, anyone want to predict the impact of Gordon? I know he's a FA to be so hopefully not much long-term but it's not like the depth guys on SEA were stepping up. I wonder if it could create a buy window

So how do you guys think the Gordon signing affects DK?

Seems like they're going to occupy the same role, and personally, I feel like Gordon's game meshes much better with Wilson's than Brady's. There's a decent chance Gordon instantly takes away DK's snap and at the very least eats into DKs workload.

It doesn't.

Gordon is a depth piece because David Moore is proving to not be a thing.

Lockett & Metcalf are still the top WRs.

It's been a long time since Gordon was good.

Development-wise, the Seahawks under Carroll have a pretty damn strong track record of developing WRs who've come into the league as severely incomplete players, and making the most of them. An even better record of that on the defensive end. That's stood out to me because for most teams, a developmental project signing there is a death-rattle.

Gordon's signing could certainly hurt him this year -- but as a long-time believer in Gordon, he's looked different recently and I'm getting off the train. I think it's more realistic that he slightly hurts DK than that he ends up as a startable fantasy asset this season.
