Forgotten in all of this is that Tutu Atwell went for 119 yards in the same game.
I think - rightly - most of us are still wary of a 150lb WR.

As encouraging as his usage was - that's just never a profile that will translate into an outside WR.

With Puka at 6'1 200lb - you can at least tell yourself a story...

Not that I like Tutu, but:

- 2nd round draft pedigree
- 4.44 speed
- 91st percentile breakout
- Played in a Power-5

Outside of size/weight, he crushed Nacua as a prospect. He just has been bad to this point. But, I could tell the same story of a speedy, productive T-64 WR who turned his career around...

Like I said, there are things about Nacua I liked, but I don't want the draw for me to be chasing targets, because that's not something that's exclusive and lasts.

Didn’t practice with an oblique injury. Hopefully he plays this week.

Seems like injuries could be the only thing holding him back like they did in college.

Dude plays with wreckless abandon. Injuries go hand in hand with that type of play style.

Everything you said is true and positive indicators.

The one thing I think it misses is NFL success is not the same as fantasy success. Tutu wasn't drafted to be a 12-catch-a-game guy. He was drafted to be the secret weapon guy who is enough of a threat to draw attention away from players who are volume players.

I still think Desean Jackson is a good comp for Tutu, though Tutu doesn't project to that level of success. And slight as he was, Desean still weighed in at 175 pounds, 20 more than Tutu. Guys this size usually can't be volume players, which means they're going to be streaky players at best. Desean averaged about 5.5TD/yr and 891yds/yr in his first 11 seasons. That's the best-case scenario for Tutu, but I doubt he ever gets there.

I think Tutu has a long NFL career and will be successful enough, but he's an end-of-the-bench guy in dynasty and should not be rostered in redraft.

Puka getting fed again. 8 catches with 10 minutes remaining the third quarter... People are going to point to athleticism and Kupp returning, but i'm here to tell you, it doesn't matter. This rookie is absolutely balling.

Fun Fact: A league member dropped him for roster cut downs before the season. I got him for 1/3 of my FAAB.

He's as real as they come, folks.

Puka stonks are absolutely upward.

Puka looks very solid.

I just don't see a player whose skill or talent screams 15-20 targets in a game like he's received so far. It's very interesting to say the least. It looks like as close to a Kupp imitation as you can get in this offense.

Are we starting him yet? WR3? WR4? I only got one share, dammit.

I'm waiting to see what happens once Kupp comes back. He's looked good, but the scheme for that position is soooo good. He's already banged up too. Don't buy now. Wait for Kupp to come back, because they share the same role. Buy the dip then. He may be the "Kupp role" long term, but he's not taking Kupp's role in 4 weeks, or whenever Kupp is healthy.

Doubt he has the success he has once Kupp comes back, as he's not fit for the other roles. Kupp is aging and getting hurt more often. Puka is a guy you buy in about 4-8 weeks. Not now.

Puka just had historically good games for a rookie. I have a strong feeling he has earned the Rams largest target share even when Kupp returns. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league, and Puka is smoking hot!!!

IMO buy high now, because the dude is gonna win leagues and can be bought for cheap

I'll be starting him as my WR5 (flex spot) next week, but it's a heck of a toss up between Collins, Flowers, and Moss.

You feel he will be the leading receiver with a healthy Kupp in the game?

Yes, my eyes don’t lie and I think there’s no going back.

Just taking a step back, and not worrying about what will or won’t happen for dynasty:

Per Scott Barrett

2 games
35 targets*
25 receptions*
266 yards**

*most by any player through first 2 career games all-time
**2nd-most, behind only Anquan Boldin
