I have a hard time clicking on this thread as I took the advice of luckky13, Goddard and others early in the season (and early in this thread) and nabbed him for free . . . but had to drop him a couple weeks later (before the huge game) for a pivot in build as an immediate contender - and I just have a strong feeling I will regret it for a long time. I realize I can always acquire him but tough to pay premium value after I had him for free! Thanks nonetheless to lukky13, Goddard and others for early conviction. . .

3/87 and a TD so far... and showed some serious speed to outrun a safety who already had a running start on him.

Will be very interested to see how things play out the rest of the year and in the draft next year. Shepherd is likely the long-term slot guy, but he could lock down the #1 outside role if he keeps this up.

Make that 5/154 and 2 TD's.

Oops... spoke too soon. Blinked and he’s up to 5-154 with 2 TD’s.

This would have one a guy in my leagues playoff game but he swapped him out for miles Sanders 5 minutes before game time. Ouch
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

I gotta say this is a guy I wasn’t just off of, I was kinda scoffing at people rostering him at one point early on. Gotta say I was wrong.

Still not gonna be a buyer, I don’t trust him to elevate much past here, but clearly I’ve already underestimated him so who knows.

This kid is looking good. Lots of points left on my bench... YTD 659 yards, 7TDs (missed first 2 games.)

They seem to be keeping him highly involved even with Shepard and tate back. Will be interesting to see his value in the off season and into 2020.

Yeah I think a lot of us were. It is an important lesson to remember that there is always a chance and be open to a player being successful when given an opportunity. Kudos to those that stashed him on their benches just in case. Quite curious to see how this will play out in NY going forward. :)
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Stashing him was the easy part. The tricky part will be deciding to sell in the off season and gain value or to hang onto him and risk him getting buried.

^This is my thought also. I won't give him away in the off-season, but he would bring great value in a trade.

I am in the same position. I was clearly very very wrong, though I realized it about 1 month into the year. Guy just makes plays.

My biggest mistake was relying on training camp reports that he was awful (because usually that is a bad sign if you aren't standing out in camp), rather than digging deeper in the tape.

I remember talking him up back in May, but I still thought it would take at least a year before he produced. He's far exceeded even my expectations.

Hard to look good in training camp when you are injured. He had some up and down practices, but with the lack of competition it made sense to stash.

I still can't remember many 5th round studs, so my expectations are tempered here.

Just recently, we had Diggs and Tyreek. They fell for non-talent reasons, but figured I would at least throw it out there.
