Yup saw that. Important to note he was hoping to be a special teamer. Not sure everyone who tried this would get cut, but now a lot of players know it could happen.

I think they had to make an example of him (sim to that cle pitcher) that they are taking this seriously. You dont get to risk everyone else's opportunity.

Yep. Not the greatest plan.

Work so hard to realize a dream of playing in the NFL, and it doesn't even last 2 weeks. I bet he will regret that decision for quite some time.

This illustrates the challenges the NFL has this year, but also that it isn't just as simple as cancelling the season. If this guy can't be disciplined enough to follow rules while being paid to do so, what is the likelihood he would outside of the "bubble." It's a tough spot for decision makers right now, that's for sure.

That's been my point for a while now with Bronco Billy, (with respect to his hypothetical question) as we have seen in baseball, some players will refuse to follow the rules and put their teammates livelihood and lives in danger with their selfishness, and the reality of all situations is the only person who can wholly trust and control is yourself. 4 Marlins went out in Atlanta, and spread it to 15 others, a Cleveland pitcher went out and was sent home via car, a basketball player decided (when home for personal reasons) to go and visit a strip club. Even after all the concerns and care that has gone into the planning they still dont think the rules apply to them and their actions could have shut down all the sports again.

Syracuse players looking at mass opt out. As the league is planning to play, many have so far skip all team practices , also Florida state and Pitt are having issues, with the team not happy about team covid measures . Also at Pitt, 12 players showed covid symptoms, they had to cancel practice and test everyone

Some NFL officials opting out. So expect the officiating to be even worse than normal...

Can it be worse? I think it could, sadly. Maybe it's all a ruse to get the idea of sky man back into the fold, the officiating overlord.... :surprised:

I was at that game and it was amazing! As a Seahawk fan... Ended up staying out later than I should have partying on a Monday night.

But yeah, I will admit that the replacement refs weren't great. Maybe it was karma going the Hawks way after having the Super Bowl that Pittsburgh stole from them. At least those officials later admitted to screwing up.
