Didn’t even realize there was a formal thread on Aiyuk. I still think he’s being overlooked amongst the rookie class, but in his last four games he’s had:

6-115
8-91-1 TD
7-75-1 TD
5-91-1 TD

I comped his route running to mclaurins a while
back, and I stand bye it. Looks like a beast

I actually think he’s more “talented” than McLaurin but I’m not sure that he will get the targets that McLaurin usually gets but he jumps off the screen when you watch him play. I wish I had more shares of him.

I was getting Hopkins vibes from him coming out but didn’t really trust myself. He’s been putting up really good numbers. Underrated for sure.

His current 16 game pace would be: 115 targets, 71/1,070/10.

Really encouraging that he continued producing with Deebo in there.

Will be interesting to see how the offense looks with Kittle and possibly a new QB

If that team can get a QB (or Jimmy G figures it out) it would be exciting to see how they could use Aiyuk, Deebo, and Kittle together...especially with that tremendous play calling and play action.

Another big game.

16 game pace is now -- 129 targets, 80/1,153/9.

I'd put him as my WR2 behind Jefferson at this point.

I love what he is doing with the opportunity and I'm very impressed. However I struggle to project his numbers for next season because I don't know what he will get in terms of volume with Kittle back.

I do think he is passing Deebo on the depth chart. Deebo just cannot stay healthy and its been that way for him since college.

We’re pretty bad at projecting offenses far out, yet alone dividing individual target share for specific players.

1. The team clearly felt they needed an outside WR given that they not only spend a 1st on him but traded up to do so
2. He actually compliments Deebo and Kittle pretty well as they all work in different areas of the field
3. With Kittle and Deebo coming back the offense gets better, benefitting Aiyuk
4. He’s not only putting up insane production but he looks fantastic while doing it - this is not the case of someone just producing on volume

People are overthinking this.

Yeah the fact that he's excelling with nobody else to really draw the attention of defenses is a GOOD thing.

I'm guessing you mean purely rookies? I would probably take Lamb over him just because we saw what Lamb was with Dak.

Yes, WR2 among rookies.

Think he’s in the same tier as Lamb behind JJeff but prefer Aiyuk. Aiyuk has flat out looked better to me in a more difficult situation.
