As long as Hunter becomes a stud, then I'm sort of OK with that :?

I took advantage of the 3 game spark and moved him for a 1st + Starks. I'm in a total rebuild that has no shot of really contending while Gore is still producing, and I hadn't been able to even sniff a 1st from other owners all year, so I jumped at the chance before he gets hurt. Plus I own Hunter, so moving Gore will hopefully benefit me two-fold soon enough.

Gore is gonna get hurt again, as sure as the sun will come up tomorrow. I'm sure someone will say I can't predict the future, or that it was a random injury, but random can only happen so many times. I moved Frank Gore for Ryan Mathews the year he came out and a future 1st a year ago. Not because I didn't believe in Gore, but I saw the end nearing, and since I had Ray Rice and MJD ahead of him youth at RB on my bench made more sense and a year later(took some time) I couldn't be happier.

Gore is a beast, and he'll help you get to the playoffs. Sure will suck when you relied on him to get there and then he has to miss weeks 13-17. Now I could see myself trading for Gore at the right price, but it'd be with Kendall Hunter attached to it. If Gore is still going strong I'll certainly eat crow, a bunch of it. But I don't see that happening..

I actually acquired Gore recently. With my strong WR core, I moved Steve Smith (Carolina), Jacquizz Rodgers, and J. Gresham. I got back Gore, Hunter, and a 2012 2nd round pick. With the Felix injury and the Carolina RB situation, it really helps me now + Gore is producing like a #1 RB. But like most, I am waiting for the shoe to drop, but that's why I would not accept the trade without Hunter included.

My team is currently tied for 1st place at 4-2, so the move made sense. If Gore didn't have an injury-riddled past, no one in their right mind moves Gore. He's a great buy for contending teams as owners are ready to dump at a cheaper price.

Thats a big if..........no, really....I made it bigger  ^^^

Lets count how many quality starts he has instead of just going purely by the numbers...how about that?

Says every owner about every player.... How many are out for the season (how many were lost this WEEK)? Gore may have a history of injuries, but every single player holds the same chance of getting hurt.

From where you are standing it SEEMS like they have the same odds....but the truth is they dont. The odds are the same TO YOU only because you really dont know the odds for anybody.

Alright....obviously you feel you have all the answers. All the while Gore owners are enjoying top 5 production. Ultimately I have to be thankful of owners like you as your type keeps the price tags down.

No....i dont have all of the answers, but I have a lot of opinions  ....and this wasnt an opinion I gave you, it was the fact of the matter. Everybody DOESNT have the same odds. They just have the same odds TO US because we dont know them. If we were doctors, or coaches, or some type of informant closer to the team we'd have a better idea of what the true "odds" were. Thats all I was saying. I wasnt saying I knew more than you...I was just saying that what we know from afar is very little....by your attitude you seem to either have disagreed, or misunderstood. Either way, on to my OPINION. I've honestly never owned Gore but I do know when to sell and who to sell for...Im not just giving Gore away to anybody if I have him....but in one of my leagues I just traded SJ (similar to Gore in situation) for Manningham and 2 rookie picks. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do seeing as though SJ is one of my favorite RB's (ask anyone).

But the fact is if you think he is going to be top 5-10 this year....then you may as well get that value for him while he is still on that pace...because otherwise when playoff time, or the playoff push comes around and he isnt playing, or is getting less touches because he is injured, or injury prone and being saved for the playoffs....then you will regret having ignored the signs, and going all in with someone with this kind of history. I understand thats not a guarantee to happen....but you cant say with confidence that its unlikely. And honestly if you cant afford to trade him and he is the reason why you are in the playoff hunt then thats even more of a reason to trade him because otherwise when else are you going to get good value for him? You may be putting your team in the hole long term if you are relying on Gore. All the signs point to him being a sell unless he is literally your RB3 or RB4. Point being...if you are relying on him for the home run shot, and fail then its a terrible move. So unless you think Gore is going to help you win a championship then id personally trade him.

Heading into the final stretch of this season, this is likely your last chance to sell Gore for good value. While I agree he'll give his current owners elite production while he's healthy, I'm not concerned with that unless I'm contending this year and I have depth at RB to sustain a playoff run, because let's face it, Gore does spend a lot of time out with injury.

If you like what he can do for you this year more than the picks/players you can get in exchange, go for it, but he will probably fall back into being nearly impossible to trade for anything notable after this season.

Move him now or forever hold your peace.

I did misunderstand you, but ultimately every player stands the chance to get injured on any play. Gore has produced at a top 5 level, and if you are a contending team, I just don't see the logic in trading him. If you are concerned about his injury history, do your best to acquire Hunter as his handcuff as he's proven he can be successful with the ball in his hands as well.

There's a difference in relying on Gore short term vs. long term. I obviously own Gore as shown in my signature. And this year, he is my lead RB. I don't think anyone is banking on Gore long term at this point, and, as an owner, if you don't have a plan in place to replace his production, that's your own fault. I fully intend to replace Gore next season with one of my two high end draft picks that I've acquired.
I've banked on him to produce this year, and thus far he has not let me down. Knowing his injury history, I grabbed Hunter just in case.
But to simply blackball Gore just doesn't make sense to me. He can easily lead you to a championship, you just have to be smart about it and have the pieces in place to still win if he does go down (as you need to in every case, as every player, especially RB's, hold a strong chance of getting injured).
