I think the fact the league got deleted caused this firestorm to explode. Must admit that if I was in that situation and the league got deleted, I would IMMEDIATELY come to the assumption that fishyness is afoot. Especially given the initial insistence that the commish be in charge of monies completely, then when that failed, the league is dead. I've been in a couple leagues where we all got hosed hard by the commish. It's why I now am in 3 leagues I commish myself.

Think deleting the league was a major mistake. It gives you no record to point to... And I sure hope that all the fees (including for the 2018 season) have been dispersed.

That said, I think the OP clearly gave a biased view of the situation. And quite frankly, I'm more inclined to believe Freddog than he on this, simply based upon the tone and quality of their statements.

I do think the OP needs to change the title to this thread, unless he can articulate an actual theft of funds.

BTW, being commissioner generally sucks. It's fun to set up leagues, but to administer them is a thankless, painful jog. Almost every league has yearly turnover, and this is terrible to deal with as a commissioner. Then there's the slog of collecting fees, which tends to require multiple chasers. On top of that, you typically have a couple owners who are just pain in the arses...

I don't blame you for giving up on it.

On the other hand, without seeing the league site, I can't say whether you drove managers away. Which could also have been the case.

sound like the OP is one of those "pain in the arses" i commish multiple leagues and youre right it is the most thankless painful job there is but i love dynasty and i love the leagues i run so far we have great owners but that being said majority of my owners are dlf members who seem to be the best of the best. sorry you are dealing with this guy Freddogg97

Yup. I wouldn't join another league unless it's with seasoned DLF posters, an experienced commish and Leaguesafe with majority approval. Those are absolute prerequisites for me.

I also think that it is very telling that the OP has disappeared. To his credit, Freddog came here and defended himself and gave fairly good explanations. And I fully expect him to post a link in the coming days, as soon as MFL has un-deleted the league. I hope this happens soon, so that we can examine things more closely.

Also, someone mentioned that Freddog shut the league down shortly after owners demanded majority approval. That's not true, it seems. Freddog said he ran the league for 2 years after its creation... and shut it down in its 3rd offseason.
