Awesome defense by the bucs on 4th and 2. Forced hurts to hand the ball off up the middle and line completely stuffed gainwell.

looks like the Eagles are using a 50-50 split for Swift and Gainwell, Swift was the back in the 1st and 3rd quarters, Gainwell was in for the 2nd and came in to start the 4th as well. Time will tell if they stick with that for the season or make further modifications

Gainwell is getting the 4th Q because the game is basically over and they want to keep Swift fresh. When the game is competitive, they're using Swift much more than Gainwell except when it's a 2 minute drill type situation. They still trust Gainwell more and I think the first Hurts INT where Swift seemed to run the wrong route shows that. Also if the eagles are trailing I think they'll use Gainwell more.

Also, I think the eye test shows just how much more dynamic Swift is. He just needs to stay healthy.

I will say, Swift was seeing the majority of carries until he got Hurts intercepted by running the wrong route.

Gainwell played a lot more after that.

No argument that Swift looks like the better, more talented runner, though.

Swift doing more with fewer carries. He's looking good this week in the offense. Volume wise I don't think he can avoid bad weeks, but his explosive running means that on the carries he does get he can make something out of them. Firmly a RB2 for me, which is disappointing given he should have been a RB 1 but I'll take it at this point.

Puka with only 4/35 so far. I was looking forward to getting an extended look tonight as I'm a Redzone watcher on Sundays. He does display fantastic hands. No way he could keep that pace up so I expected a dropoff at some point. He could pair really nicely with Kupp too. I don't think it'll be an either/or situation. Rams have a surprisingly nice trio with Kupp/Puka/TuTu. Who would have thought that before the season?!?!

I hate watching banged up watered down version of Burrow. Hopefully he can get right at some point this season. Mixon looks spry but the O-line has been average at best.

Blow coverage. Hey, they all count. Lot of shallow crossers. He's a solid looking NFL WR. I do not think he's a long term number 1 for an offense, but he certainly looks like a guy who should be out there. Rams OL got eaten alive tonight, they didn't look very good.

Swift in an opposite role to Detroit. Lots of carries (and yards), not used in the passing game. What a difference Hurts makes for RB's. Between the threat of him, and that OL, they may make Swift some money like they did Sanders. Not trying to take away Swift's talent, but put him in Carolina, and I don't think he's doing this. Great move by the Eagles front office to replace Sanders production at basically no cost. His explosiveness is great for this set up, with the LB's having to hold for that split second due to the threat of Hurts.

On another note, Hurts doesn't look as good as he did last year, as a passer. He's still getting those tush push TD's for your FF, but doesn't look like the same player yet. This team is so stacked it doesn't matter right now, though.

The Achane aftermath, drafted him in 9 leagues {didn't realize I had that many shares! lol} Didn't start him in any this week, those teams went 5-4 overall, only one loss would have become a win had I started him so I guess my teams are either pretty good or really bad, but at least he can be safely considered as a flex option moving forward so maybe I'll start him in a few leagues next week!

To the bolded parts, which is it? Isn't trailing and competitive more or less the same situation? Sans 2 minute drills ofc.
