Thoughts?
2.03 for Cousins in a SF isn't even an opening offer worthy of a response. To tack on Kraft is a joke.

2.03 for Cousins and Kraft? If you need a qb that’s a pretty good deal. Kraft has decent value (worth a mid-2nd by himself) in 2ppr

Edit: Nevermind, was very unclear who was getting what. I would want the cousins Kraft side
Thanks. No worries. Appreciate it.

Piling on here, but Cousins is >2.03 by himself, and depending on how TEP it is Kraft could also be worth that much by himself. Combined... not even worth a response.

How are you all ranking TEs? Bowers first, obviously, but I'm seeing more and more Sinnott TE2.

Bowers
Sinnott
Sanders
Theo

Anyone else worth it?

Honestly, even in TEP it's Bowers with a mid 1st and then likely nobody until the 3rd. You're DEEP fishing for any TE's behind Bowers, and I'd rather take a shot at some of the WR's and RB's in the late 2nd/early 3rd range than a very marginal TE.

I'm sure some TE guru's will disagree with me, but after Bowers everyone else has pretty major red flags (production, athleticism, or blocking ability).

You know my position. And dismissing a TE because of a lack of college production is a big mistake. Some prolific pro TEs were not overly productive in college because their HCs simply did not use TEs that way. You have to watch their tape carefully, especially if there isn’t much of it.

BB - totally open to being wrong here... and would love to be given I have multiple leagues with later draft picks (3rds/4ths). Who do you have your eye on? And if you've already laid it out then I apologize!

I like Theo Johnson a lot. He doesn’t get the YAC Sinnot does (Sinnot reminds me of Kraft in that respect) but TJ is a lot bigger, is just as athletic, is a better blocker, and runs better routes. Sinnot is going to have to play a move TE because he’s not big enough or nearly ornery enough to line up inline. That will limit his opportunities. TJ will play inline and be on the field all the time. His only problem would be getting drafted by a team with poor OTs, where he’d be held in on max protect too much.

And don’t apologize for your opinion! You might end up being right, we don’t know how well any of them will transition. I just know through experience that dismissing a TE for mediocre to bad stats in college and nothing else is a mistake.

Anyone have strong views on Ricky Pearsall they would be willing to share? I'm just now digging in and the underlying stats, 5th year senior breakout, 24 yr old when September rolls around, etc. has me a little confused. His tape looks solid, but how did he produce so poorly in two different programs (including with two QBs likely selected in the top 3)?

I can’t answer the last question, but I liked what I saw from the tape I reviewed. I think he can contribute meaningfully at the next level.

Here’s what I posted a while back on him:
Bronco Billy wrote: Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:16 pm Starting to develop a real fondness for WR Ricky Pearsall. 1/8” under 6’-1” and 193 lbs, the kid is just a technician, finds a way to gets his hands on seemingly every pass in his direction and makes really difficult catches look effortless. Has a nice toolbox for YAC as well and shows some tricks that sophisticated RBs use in the open field like a dead leg and a toe drag to change directions. Shows some nice speed heading downhill to the sidelines. Will catch through contact. Very high football IQ and understands how to set up shop in the holes in zones. Looked great during practices at the Senior Bowl and made DBs look pretty bad. Can run the ball on jet sweeps too and has the RB instincts to pull it off.

I’d love to see him slip to mid 2nd round in FF drafts. He isn’t likely to produce eye popping measurables but he’s a football player through and through. Whomever his pro QB is going to be is going to love him. He’s reliable and makes his QB look good.
ETA - now I can answer the last question. Daniels looked awful at ASU when Pearsall was there, and Richardson was one of the worst passers in P5 football when Pearsall transferred over. Neither QB was making any receiver look good when Pearsall played with them.

I like what BB had to say here. He looked great at the combine. Has a number of analytical traits that push him up boards and I really like him in the 2nd round of rookie drafts. Hoping he falls to the Bears at 75. I have 2.02 and 2.04 in SF and depending on who is there I might take him a touch early. Seems to be getting mid-to-late-2nd ADP.

What would you all think about this in Superflex TEP?

1.02 Harrison WR
1.06 Bowers TE
2.02 Penix QB
2.04 Pearsall WR

I think I'd be pretty happy with that.
