I pulled the trigger and shipped him for Maclin. I'm having regrets but he was my RB4/5 in a start 2 league and Maclin will be my starting WR3. It's gonna be tough watching him explode the next 5 weeks vs TB, Wash, Chi, GB, and Carolina. This guy could be better than Gio...or he can be a COP as early as next year. Oh well, only time will tell. I drafted him with my 5th round pick so either way it's a win..

For anyone who hadn't seen this nice McKinnon run vs. Buffalo:

That run shows the athleticism, it's crazy that he can be that strong to throw the huge stiff arm and then accelerate past the defenders.

I feel less buyer's remorse by the week in the one league where I had to trade for him instead of drafting him/picking him up.

Reminded me of Peterson's stiff arm against the Browns a few years back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DVO3UB26is

Agreed. Nobody knows if McKinnon will continue as a primary NFL RB beyond 2014, but seeing glimpses of his power/shiftiness/speed combination has me impressed. Earlier in the year, he may have gone down on the initial arm tackle by Mario Williams, but the light seems like it is coming on for him. JMHO, the COP angle is overplayed by those FFers who stereotype RBs on size. Fact is, McKinnon was typically the focus of any Georgia Southern opponent, yet he ran 9/125/1 TD single handedly leading GS to a 2013 win over a BCS squad in Florida. Maybe more impressive, he was punished by Georgia in 2012 but still ran 19/112/2TDs. Definitely not your typical COP back.

Should probably re-name this thread to C.Michael, poor man's Mckinnon?

Most likely. I actually traded away Michael as part of the deal for McKinnon that I did.

Man, give the kid credit who came in & got McKinnon befor he got hot. The pick I got should be around 2.2-2.4 but wishing I kept at this point.

I drafted him in the 2nd round of 3 of 5 leagues, I'm glad he's doing well, but I wish it had been a little slower so I could have worked out something in the other 2 leagues
One of those was the one I got sniped by a trade right before my pick... it's been months and I'm still pissed

I still wish I had him in my start-up league but he went right after I took Ingram and M.Bennett. At the time it was super early for a RB a few years away from production. The owner drafted all young players and wouldn't take a 2nd for McKinnon when Asiata was getting all the carries. Regardless, McKinnon is the type of player that makes you love dynasty, finding that 5th round rookie gem is the best feeling in dynasty.
