The Senior Bowl is an opportunity for Tebow to show off his potential as tight end or fullback. He's unlikely to stay at quarterback in the pros. "If the people I talk to that are wise think that I should play in it, I’ll go play in it," Tebow said. "If they don’t, I won’t. I don’t know." Coaching staffs for the Senior Bowl will be announced after the NFL regular season.

Nate???
If Tony Dugny likes him...then that is good enough for me.
No worries Nate, I can see Tebow blocking for Forsett and your Seahawks in 2010...
Someone please ban Mark! He's deeply offended my family who are Seahawk fans, my ancestors who must have been Seahawk fans, and me. This kind of blasphemy cannot be tolerated!

Besides, we have the facemask-breaking 'Beer Truck' to block for Forsett (and Spiller or Dwyer once we draft one of them).

Thoughts on your most recent update:

QBs: Agreed with the major shuffling, although a small quibble is that I liked your previous ranking of Hiller over LeFevour.

RBs: No changes. I still think Dixon should be a little higher though.

WRs: You've been big on LeFell all year and so I'm stunned that you dropped LeFell and elevated Benn and Tate like you did!

TEs: Not really any major changes.

Nice work.

I also think Dixon should be higher. I like him better than Gerhart, for example. He's also the #2 rated Senior RB according to NFLDraftScout, which is better than many (if not most) online sites when it comes to these things.

There are some scouts that are in love with Dixon....I am just not one of them at this point. Do remember that I was the first to sing Dixon's praises and have him climbing up draft boards, but watching more tape of him makes me question how he'll perform in a pro-style offense.

- He does have upside in the passing game as he's been basically shut out of MSU's attack in that regard, but he runs terrific routes.
- He will most likely excel in a one-back set where he is the only deep back, find the hole and slash downfield. He has great instinct when there's no FB to muck up his reads.
- As I mentioned in a previous post, he is below average outside the tackles, even in college. He will be even less effective at the next level.
- I personally worry a bit about his weight and durability long-term.
- I question his role being anything more than a short-yard and goal line specialist.

I really think he is a cut below Gerhart and Hardesty, probably by half a round, but still ending up in the 3rd or early 4th. That's much better than six weeks ago when I projected him as a 5th rounder; if he does well in the Senior Bowl, he could very well pass Gerhart on my board.

From a pure draft perspective, I don't think there are many teams that would draft Hiller over LeFevour at this point. Long term, I think they are very, very close; Hiller has a better arm and better overall timing/rhythm in his passes. However, his long motion on short- to intermediate-throws is a problem, especially since he essentially has zero mobility and huge durability concerns. He'll have to be behind a hell of a line to succeed in my opinion.

Steve, I also think TE Tony Moeaki of Iowa merits consideration for your next update. He has missed a lot of games over the last few years, but he definitely should be on your radar as an NFL prospect.

Well, might as well take Graig Cooper off this list. He probably won't play again till the 2011 season after that horrific knee injury.

QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

Snead

Postby dlf_jeffh » Thu Jan 07, 2010 2:37 pm

This is a shocker:

Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead has reportedly decided to forego his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

Wow and let the debate begin. 2009 season an anomaly or is he still one of the best QB's in this years draft?
