That said - Conner can see his value tank pretty quickly especially because the production is more situation than talent. There are first rounders that retain high value for years. Or you can flip the pick come draft time as well. It is about the best assets in my opinion.
You act like Conner is a complete scrub. He was a 3rd round pick and was productive in college. While I agree that his situation makes him much more attractive in fantasy, but Conner isn't the complete bum you make him out to be.

Looking ahead to the 2019 draft I would rather take my chances on James Conner than any of the RBs in that class. 2019 is a weak RB class right now. The best RB in that class is probably Bryce Love at Stanford. So would you rather take Love without knowing his landing spot over what you do know about Conner? Now if you can move him for a sure fire top 3 pick in 2020, that's a different conversation. 2020 is the draft you want to be loading up on.

Was offered Agholar and 2019 late 1st for Conner. I'm rebuilding, but not sure I'm gonna take it.

Where does everyone have him ranked for the rest of the year and beyond? Bell may or may not come back, which changes his outlook this year obviously, but most likely the lead guy next year. He has been great. Trying to gauge him moving forward as I might offer something for him. Real deal???

There was a Conner thread at the very top of the board when you posted this.

Given what we have seen, What are the odds that James Conner is a flop? He is 23 btw. Best bet here, imo, is to hold. This situation in Pittsburgh is far from settled.
There is often a very large window to extract value out of a rookie pick or newly drafted rookie, so even if they bust you have a better than 50% chance of getting something better by trading him for a 1st IMHO.

Yeah if you aren't likely to keep either, then I think Ingram is the guy you want.

How odd, I like Conner better in redraft. No competition- the possibility of that is rumor/projection. Ingram splits carries and the team may not be able to have a balanced offense like last year.

I think for some owners, they are going to need to see Conner as the starting RB in 2019 before they put any substantial value into him.

I have him valued pretty closely to Kareem Hunt.

Do you guys wAtch the games. Conner looks legit. According to pff he’s also broke the most tackles in the league so far. With Pittsburgh’s absolute lack of defense I’m guessing thier premium draft picks will be on that side of the ball. Also theirs a lack of great college Rb options. I would keep Connor over any first next year.

Anyone saying Conner is JAG makes me question everything I know about fantasy football. That’s an absurd assessment.

I complelty agree! What more does he have to do to prove himself?

Ah, the old "if you don't like him you must not have watched him play" argument. Lots of big backs have looked great in small sample sizes and turned out to be nothing special. His numbers are great. Ride him if you got him for as long as he's the starter. But I'm cashing out if I can get something of value long term.
