SF Start-up Help Welcomed

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Chig and njoku interest me. Still taking the qbs over them but if you want to diversify I don’t mind going that route.

Oops.

Howell and a rookie RB? The Commanders are getting hyped as a comeback team. A comeback team can't come back without a good QB, which means Howell is an acceptable risk to stick.

Given your roster setup this is where I'd go after RB. Conner certainly interesting as he may have a significant role by default.

I really do urge you to consider pounding vet RB and wr now that can help you contend. Having additional 24 first for next year means you can afford to be a middling team.

I don’t see the benefit to this, care to explain?
He is a massive long shot to compete, barring extreme luck + flipping his assets to contend. Why would you hammer veteran rbs who A) likely lose value and B) hurt his draft pick? The number one benefit to going young year 1 is locking in 1st overall pick and scoring what will likely be a 1st round startup pick next year in the rookie draft (or trading for equivalent value).

Because he's already drafted win now pieces in kittle, Evans, and carr. He's already setting himself to be a middling team without realizing it. Pounding the vet RB and wr options now just makes it more likely he can get something out of this season. He's also drafting young pieces that are unlikely to gain significant values this year.

If he had stuck to the QB and young wr targets then he could continue to do so, but some of his selections moves him to middle of the road.

Fair enough, depends on how the league drafted I suppose. If a few other teams tanked, it’s true, if not he can fade rb completely and still tank to an early pick. I just don’t see how this team competes without some serious trading and that’s tough post startup draft.

He's getting double zeros at RB1 and RB2 most weeks unless Roschon takes over. Imagine that hurts his chances considerably.

Dream is Kittle and Evans are only on the roster a month before they're flipped for prospects + picks.
